Sounds good, congrats on the cover art freelance! The alien beast looks really sweet.
Things are pretty good out in LA, there's definitely the art world abound out here so plenty of drawing nights and events to go to and network.
Right now it's slow because of the holidays, most studios are picking up production and hiring around January, so I'm hoping something comes through then! I've been applying like crazy and working on a new reel after some advice I got.
Otherwise I got some good freelance to work on til then. It's just great to be out here.
Lovely lighting/color in your Dune and tentacle head characters
On your latest piece, I'd consider hue shifting your background so your character stands out better. At the moment he's getting a little lost in his environment. Cool design tho, keep it up
Really great work man, its amazing. Hope ya don't mind if I save a few as references for future models I plan on making. I'll fully acknowledge you as the creator of course as well

Wow it was really impressive to look through all your progress in this SB. Keep doing what you're doing the effort really shows. I'm really digging your rendering skills on those last two weapons
My brain cannot handle the sheer amount of awesomeness going on here. Your textures really just blow my mind. Whats your process for creating those? The weapons seem to have the most love to them.
@frell - It just depends on the day. Usually, I start in photoshop, but I'll occasionally find myself scanning full or incomplete sketches and then manipulating them in ps later. @Arcturus, KennyTies, and everyone else - Thanks
I am having difficulty trying to critique your work, your skill level is well beyond mine. Do you have any advice on books to read, or tutorials to look at?
damn, this stuff is soo going to my art ref folder. your color palettes are great and weapon designs look very professional.
robots from page 5 are awesome as well.
edit:
oh, and yay for Leto II, later dune books rarely get any good fanart.
