Love'n this last one! Reminds me of Peter Boehme's Dom War entry from way back.
So, tell me more about the Wacom Companion! I was eyeing that a month or so back, but I talked myself out of it. I'm interested in the mobility, but I actually did not really like the feel of my Cintiq because my drawing hand obstructed the screen (which is why I sold it). What are your thoughts on the Companion?
Honestly, it's a great portable alternative that I can take with me on trips. I like the surface more than the typical cintiqs and it feels like it has a better response. The windows version has to regrettably deal with some of the inherent win10 tablet functions and isn't super intuitive, but when I'm working in PS or Zbrush it handles like a dream. If i'm just using it for art, it's perfect. I really love it. I had a time when I didn't like having my hand on the screen and i switched back to a normal intuos, but i've honestly gotten used to it. The companion is great, but I would also recommend the surface pro or ipad pro with the new pencil. I've tried all of them and they all suit my needs. I honestly just got a cool deal on the companion haha.
Awesome work anyway, and you so inspired me to grab pencil and start drawing
in fact, I am already had your art in my references folder for years and book also "Substrata"
thanks
Thanks! I super appreciate it Substrata was a real awakening for me for just how many artists you could smush together into something. Glad you're inspired! We all have to feed each other with different sources.
Subbed as well. Your stuff is definitely "wow" worthy!
Do you have any tips on your process with mechanical stuff? I've been trying to apply that into my drawings but I always get stuck between design choices and functionality.
