just got Zbrush last night, very easy to use... it's like playing with Clay.. love it.
anywhoo here are my first quick doodles.
I used to do some light modeling stuff in 3dsmax back in the day, but this is the first time I have touched modeling in like 9 years ... I was inspired after watching some videos on youtube with users making 3d sketches.
really really enjoying zbrush, have made like 8 heads in 1 day, so quick and easy to pump something out from a simple sphere.
so much so I think I might actually just go through the pipeline and actually model something.
well trying to learn some prop modeling in spare time. so here is 30min of modeling 25min of unwrapping and 15-25min of texturing..... yall work so fast I hate it.
another doodle, never ever looked at an anatomy book so ignore inconsistencies (there are many I am sure) just doing what looked cool, I hid the head as it started out as a single sphere that I intended to doodle a head out of and ended up squishing it out into a torso when my wife asked if It was possible to do so from a sphere... and it's almost mostly untouched at the moment.
actually I did the whole head but I hit divide and zbrush died, so I lost it heh.
looks like your starting to get a hang of the tools in zbrush. now its time to grab some anatomy knowledge and start puting some solid structure to your doodles

sounds good, any solid links to start?
took a gander at some of my muscle building mags, Jay Cutler inspired muscularity fixes.
What an awesome thread! I can't believe I missed this one!
BoBo, do you mind sharing your ZBrush materials? I've been forced to use ZBrush now at work, so could use a few nice materials.
Tried Zspheres out for the first time. I'd like to finish this guy but I think it might be hooped. The poly distribution is too poor so I'm not able to divide high enough to detail the face and feet. Let me know if you have any work arounds.
interesting thread, some cool works in here.
heres my contribution, thought i was onto something, but it was nothing..
3-4 hour doodle- originally for the game artisans mini competition but i gave up

this will separate the meshes and you can subdivide the head individually for more detail... I ran into the same problem when I tried to model an entire body from a single sphere, so I had to work it out.
I haven't got the whole reattaching thing down yet though.
Warriah: love the character you captured in the face, the whistling was a nice touch

Might be cool to give out a weekly theme in case folk's want to model something specific.
A lot of cool stuff here though.

done in 50 mins...i love MODO hehe...
the dude i did on my games academy workshop, yeah it's obvious where my anatomical knowledge left me xD
15 minutes of fun
I doodled on the mudbox head and it came out a bit like lee evans so went with it, 30 mins.
Needed to show a studio I can do cell shading for them and whipped this up real quick.

Make a little kid's tricycle. Can be any kind you want... doesn't have to be like the image. Yeah?
I can't paint for crap with zbrush yet, so here's the unspoiled version.
it's supposed to look punisher like
quoted for the truth.
love the look of that dude Jasp, keep em coming ;D
wohoo, great, now we just need somebody to model a zora

get the subtool master plugin (http://www.zbrushcentral.com/zbc/showthread.php?t=57154&highlight=subtool+plugin ), select the head and extract it to it's own subtool, select inverse with your mask and extract the body (make sure extract thickness is 0 in both though)
this will separate the meshes and you can subdivide the head individually for more detail... I ran into the same problem when I tried to model an entire body from a single sphere, so I had to work it out.

First doodle with my rebuilt comp (psu, mobo, and ram replaced... whee). Nice to have things operate smoothly again.
