Nice video Ravenslayer. Reminds me that I need to finish up a few good basemeshes. Really kill myself working from nothing every time when I could get the proportions and form laid out from the start like that... bleegh.
Lost the Zbrush file, and the hard drive it might have been on got wiped
Unfinished Art Graveyard:
Sucks about the hd loss. I love the look of the folds. I've been trying to do that on a model but I haven't had any luck getting a smooth fold like that. Got any tips on how you achieved that faceted cloth fold look?
doesn't really belong in here because it is the start of a bigger project, but this was a quick sculpt of a dragonborn for reference and a base to retop.
haha cool glad to see people using that. it still takes alot of practice, but every time you do it you get faster and more accurate. just at a glace i think the bridge of the nose and eye sockets could be brought back a bit and the cheekbones could be a bit more defined, but its defiantly a good start! o show images with perspective on for 3/4 shots:thumbup:
moof - that was composited from several screenshots in PS, but the latest private betas have multi-material support... and depth map export for easy DoF post. There should be a public release very soon, quite hopefully before this weekend - would be nice to pimp the new release in general before PC's mysterious downtime this weekend, so here's hoping!

Does the beta allow you to snap views to perfect front/left/top etc? I found this is the most annoying part of the alpha.
I could live without things like camera bookmarks if it includes brush size/power hotkeys instead of that damned radial menu. That said, it's still a really solid piece of software even in its alpha state.
It has snap-to-axis for the camera (same as zbrush), and their are hotkeys for brush size, not for strength. I'll make a recommendation for that though.
Lets wait for the Beta to be released, it seems to be alot more polished.
This App could end being the new guy on the neighbourhod of 3D Sculpting
Im very impressed of how it works soo far.
Anyway, attempted to make a cool Lionhead doorknocker like he did, but didn't turn out so well . For my very first sculpt I think it turned out pretty decent, regardless, here you go . Took about an hour and a half or so?
Tried to bake a normal map onto a simple plane, but the effect really wasn't good at all
Wow reading through this thread there is some seriously inspring stuff! thought I'd jump on the speed modelling band wagon to give me some much needed practice. So this is my first ever speed model and it took 31 minutes.

Ferg: that rocks.
here is some more test-ery from last night.. senseless design, but I kind of like him.
I imagine a body covered in curly vines and little fungi pals.
Ferg: I love him haha.
I want to start doing a bust a day this summer...lets see how that goes
About 3.5 hours of following Woogity's tutorial from a few pages back.

Super-quick speed-models/textures. Gotta catch 'em all! ;P
A first ever face sculpt for me. I wanted to see how much I could do/remember in 30 minutes. Pretty pathetic lol.
