neox love it your killing Sanders's style on this one, only crit is the neck looks a bit narrow to me even for his characters, legs ,torso, and head couldn't be much better.
neox: really love how you are translating chris sanders style in 3d
hope you don't mind but i did a paintover for the head that could increase the sexyness of the face
anyway awesome work so far and the body looks *insert jawdrop/drool emoticon here* ^^
hey ravenslayer: thanks for the overpaint, i'll take the time to answer you a bit more i totally know what you mean, chris definitely has some designs with the eyes more far apart, but i tend to disagree that it looks better in your overpaint.
In chris' designs with the eyes more far apart, which i already tested a bit, it is a bit hard to give them some real eyeballs, so if i'm going to use those i'd have to use either one large sphere, but this might look odd from certain angles, or i'd have to use bent planes, both of which i would rather like to avoid as setting those up us a pain in the butt.
I agree on the eyebrows, not so much on the form but on the distance to the eyes, was already on my list even though some of chris' design have some very much raised eyebrows.
On the lups i like what you did, but its just not like chris' designs.
I don't work from one certain concept of him as most are posed and not really usable for a tpose so its a bit hard to grab the essence of his designs, most of his mouth shapes end up like this http://fc04.deviantart.net/fs38/i/2009/003/d/4/Angel_detail_by_alohalilo.png , thats why i decided to go with a wider mouth, anyways thanks again i'll think about some of your changes more
hey neox, oval eyes with a deform modifier work well. You can rotate them and the deformer always keeps them deformed in the right direction. Also, I think once you model on some thick eyelashes, it'll look pretty sweet.
please do me favor and don't crit a model thats already changed and not in this thread anymore
eyelashes are already on and i also changed the heads proportions a bit, but i'll wait with update till i added some hair blockout
aesir: nope it wouldn't help me in the case of the design Ravenslayer reffered to, i know how oval eyes work and i guess i would even be able to set it up that the iris stays a perfect circle, however, the problem with moving the eyes as much outwards as chris in some cases does is, that it will look pretty alienlike with spheres as a base, oval eyes wouldn't fix that issue and might even increase the alien look, bigger spheres might be a solution but as they are bigger and the eyes are then closer to the outer rim of the head it will easily be outside of the skull, so its no option either.
So instead i could use a bent surface that fits into the eyesocket, and use a iris displacement thats bound to uvs which i could controll with a helper. Its also imho the only way to do very large Manga/Anime eyes.
However I decided agains it and went for a less alien more anatomical design as he also has such in his portfolio, makes my time easier and makes it also easier to pose the eyes lateron, a sphere is a sphere is a sphere no matter how you turn it and will work from every angle - just by its definition
Thx a lot everyone!
I really appreciate it
Here's another one, these are just for fun, but I'm seriously planning something "finished" in the near future
Blackmail: cheers--though currently I'm focusing on hard surface modeling I like the naturalism of that model, and will take a look, thanks for upping it.
Blackmilk, if you dont want to trash it yet, you could export the lowest sub-d lvl to max or maya and fix whatever is asymmetrical then reimport it and project everything you have done so far, if its all one piece it shouldn't be too tricky

Matt: she's standing on her tip toes, so its intended, but i already worked a bit on the volumes of her legs, so maybe its a bit better now
@DKK: LOL!

Rota
I'll dream nightmares about that face.
Anatomy is hard, knees are impossible and female calfs are alien.
