view from the back window of the studio. nothing special, just trying out my new camera, lumix lx5. been shooting with just slrs for the past few years... the image quality difference is quite noticeable but not bad, not bad...
@dustinbrown - cute! i had one as a "pet" for a little while. he fell out of his mom's back and was lost, was going to starve or be eaten if left out like that, so I took care of him until he got big and fat. very interesting animals! they smell good also (not when they feel threatened)
So are you here now? Or did you already return? You should check out downtown Detroit. Especially around Comerica Park, or the old train station. The Spirit of Detroit is pretty cool too. Once you get downtown, you can also see across the river, to Windsor.
And yeah, I've barely visited the Ann Arbor area, so I'm not familiar with that building, but the towers look odd near the top.

Already back. That mansion is from downtown Detroit, on Woodward near the museum.
The distortion is from perspective correction. I prefer having the verticals, but I might see if I should do the correction before stitching if it makes a difference.

Hmm, I guess I'll have to pay more attention next time I'm at the Museum. I saw Ann Arbor in the name of the pic, so I thought it was from there.
So, no muggings? Honestly, Detroit isn't that bad anymore. There are some bad spots, but I definitely recommend people visiting, if they have any interest.
Chemical Alia those are great images About the second image how fast was your shutter speed in order to capture them like this. Love the mood in the last image

Thanks man! Crazily enough that one of the three was taken with my iphone camera, so it was just a matter of point-and-shoot, and getting really lucky. The last one was like, a 20 second exposure that one night when the moon was said to look bigger and brighter than usual.
panorama one of my favourite places, dunstanburgh castle in northumberland, taken from low-newton-by-the-sea. The pub there is fucking great, go there now. You need to book for evening food though.
they do guided tours for school classes and some companies i think and i went there with school ^^
also that thing on the right is just one of the smaller accelerator rings the big one has multiple kilometres in diameter but this one is still big enough to punch a hole in a concrete wall. with protons. almost weightless protons. THATS badass ^^
These are some pics I did when I had a Pentax SLR, also was the first time I shot with an SLR, developed and made prints so hopefully they turned out decent. Been wanting to get back into B&W stuff but I have no space to build a dark room in my parents place so anyone know the cost at developing negatives in a store? Also if there's any way to print them. Gonna be getting the Earthquake DSLR kit just need to get some funds from work.
haiddasalami (I just now realized what your name says as I tried to type it) here in Ottawa, the 'pro' photo place charges about $6 for colour and $6.50 for black and white film. B&W film is super easy to develop at home though. I started doing it in my bathroom and the only tricky bit it getting it totally dark while putting the film on the reel and for that I just wait till night time and turn off all the light in my apt. Then I just scan the negatives after that. Developing prints in my bathroom would not work so well.

[edit] those prices are for next day 35mm. same day was about $1 more and 120 film was about $1 more as well.
haiddasalami, just develop your own negs and scan them in- that way you only have to print off your favs, you can buy cheap neg scanners and shouldnt cost more than 50 bucks for all the stuff and chemies.
