Yeah, Totally Deku kids, and Gorons! I have a special place in my heart for gorons. Boxing Gorons in the Twilight Princess for the win. Phew! im glad you guys know where Im coming from with this.
arsh: The whole top half sucks ass, But you really nailed the Diabloe urine. It's so yellow and concentrated.
Woah so many cool entries! You guys so make me want to join. Two weeks is short tho, but nice enough for a marathon model... Time for a self-motivating post!
I know close to nothing about Diablo but Firestarter educated me about the secret cow level from Diablo 2.
Hence I will try to go for a realistic barbarian warrior just out of the Secret Cow Level battleground. Cloth made out of cow fur, armor stained with milk.
That's super cool, Arsh. The sharp stuff on the torso is great.
Had a bit of free time tonight, so I blocked in this quick Blood Elf mesh. I'm not really sure if I want to take it any further; I might play around with a few different ideas first.
Arsh: You details are really cool, but i think the main forms/proportions could use a LOT of work. I think he lacks a whole lot of what was cool about him in the concept. Looks really short and stubby compared to your awesome concept. And some of the anotomy seems underdefined for your standards.
hey bradford, what universe is that character from??
thanks for all the thumbs up,
rockstar, i thought you would like it since i am totally biting your style!
Miguelito, your going to have to wait for the final version.. Peeablo!
EQ: you make a lot of good points, i actually made the decision to change the proportions to make him a bit more like the game. looking at ref i really started to like the stout look of the original character. the musculature is still very wip, i just got carried away with with projection master and started putting detail all over before nailing down the base. as you can see i am still working on the legs and i havent really even touched the arms, hopefully the final product will all come together.
here is an update on the legs and feets
****edit***
oh yeah, i have been checking my model everynow in max to check out perspective, he dosent look nearly as squat in perspective and you can get a sense of how massive he is... or how massive i think he is..
Shoot yeah, massive! He could rip a warriors head off with his hands.
Digging the concept Pior; I'm going for Ingame Character model in the Diablo universe, that means my assassin is up against arshlevons Diablo, *gulp*
hi guys, this is my first post here. there is alot of inspiring stuff on here, and i wasnt sure if i should post or not because i am not entering the low res portion of the contest
but i see alot of awsome high poly models on here so i figured id post my mudboxed zerg. he is going to be wrapping up a marine and killing him but the marine is not done yet.
here is my zerg,
thanks for comments everyone.. it's from the warcraft universe. ghost_rider had it right, it's a dreanei that i'm basing off sketches by metzen and glen rane with my own inputs.. going for the cinematic.
wow, the stuff in this thread is really just unbelievable. inspiring to see everyone step up to the plate for this contest!!
Here is the "finished" version of one variation of Tristram Cathedral. Give me suggestions if you got em!
bout 90k for the whole scene, handful of color/normal/spec materials, game-style bloom added post process. also here are the wires.
This variation is for Normal difficulty, the other variation will be for Hell difficulty. I'm going to get started on that one today... here's the rough concept.

Woah millions of polygons everywhere! Do you guys plan to enter the ingame or the cinematic categories with these?
Started on my late concept. Couldn't resist using my own mug as a painted-over layer. Even if this means becoming a gay icon.

i am making a game model, well if i can pull off something under 5000 for the low poly.

The one thing I'm not so sure about is the blood, it seems very saturated in comparison to everything else.
Love it though, great job.
Moo!
add some cutted heads from all main characters around the guy ? like sorce, paladin, druid etc , like he was too much badass for them ?
agh i might be saying nonsense...
