Mayang's online collection of free textures. If you have the spare cash, I recommend buying the collection on CD. Exceptionally good value.
I'll make this thread sticky for the time being, if you post a reply in it, please include a link to a site that hasn't already been linked in your post, to avoid cluttering the thread.
I've been called wierd for this in the past, but for human model references, I use mannequins. In the gameing world, the typical character has ideal proportions. Mannequins display that hero image quite well with flawless sculpted form. I got a full body male and female set for under 100$ on ebay. Great for studying muscles and proportions.
Elaborate drainage system under Tokyo. http://www.g-cans.jp/photo/
Great inspiration, and apparently is open to the public, for the next time you're in town.
wow, I didn't even know about that drainage thing. There's some pics on that site that would make some really nice "massive structure" lighting reference...something that I've always found alittle difficult.
I use HTTrack website copier to download images. It's free and very customizable. I've got it set up to just copy all the image files from a site to one directory so that it's easy to use ACDSee to browse the images. That's opposed to downloading all the html files and having to navigate a copy of the site offline.
The BEST weapon site ever high res pics from all views and clos-ups AND VIDEOS! Eventough they are modelguns they look damn the same to me http://www.modelguns.co.uk
example
Thanx for those japan pics, though anyone has a link with pics from a tempel form multiple sides?
*EDIT* btw, forgot to mention. I figured out a crafty way to get most of these images super high res. If you find the shot you need, most of them have a 'zoom' button. Click that and it dumps several images that make up one huge image into your web browser cache.
This site has tons of blueprints and pictures of home designs. Great reference for anyone wanting to do realistic environment work. http://www.design-house.com/
High res scans of pretty much all the Masamune Shirow poster books. Tons of awesome drawing of hot chicks.
I guess I have to mention that this is adult content!
would anyone know where i can grab the model sheets of Mr. Fantastic from. I remember their being one for each member of the Fantastic four. I saved them, but they are long gone. any help would be appreciated as I'm sure you've all seen it before. It was pretty common, but now i just cant locate it. thanks

Tons of textures, well-organized, mostly 512's, all tiled (though often an ugly tiling job).
I like the Flesh ones... not easy to find decent pathology textures on the web., and this is a nice large collection.
They're free, mostly...
"All images in this site are free of rights. These images are created with personal works, images of the web or send by friend. I can’t control all images precisely used, thanks to said me if some images are not free."
... the ceramic tile ones are probably ©'d.
