Conte : You must be some really shit hot artist! Did it stroke your ego by being mean to others? Does your 1 inch dick lengthen by an inch when you deride others??
I admit I didn't model the base head for that one, but you don't have to bite my head off. Geez.
Forum sure has become a very hostile place nowadays.
Another head :
No reference, modelled from sphere.
That head you made has lots of problems, heaped on the fact that you 'cheated' by using Facegen. I use Facegen often for my base meshes, but when it looks like a Facegen head you've failed (that lameass texture too). It would be like taking a screenshot of the Oblivion character creation screen and saying I modeled this!
No one would have bashed you for it, except its so blatantly a Facegen head that was poorly edited, and you made a really lame 300 joke,
shagspear, i am not familiar with facegen and did not know you had used it as a crutch.
i'm sure using facegen was practical for helping you familiarize yourself with the process.
i would teasingly go as far as agreeing with the sentiments and say, yeah! that is LAME. i repsect conte as an artist of this community and i'd say he's just razzing you by speaking his mind. i see that as a good thing.
you need to grow some thicker skin and relax son. i don't like the implication that my comment justifies your 'correctness' in dissing on ashkat. also consider, i do believe, english is not his first language.
the head you've created from the sphere shows a large difference in abilities. i did think the facegen head did turn out pretty cool, and that warrants something.
@Spacey: Thanks for your suggestions dude
I still got some tweaking to do with the hips, and the client wants to add a belt under the one she has now, but its getting there.
@SupRore
Looks very promising, like chiseled in stone. I think your Sdiv is too low for that sharp details.
@ Vitor
I love the shapes of the face but the body is somehow disturbing, the arms ands lower legs are soooo thin!
Making the chest and belly also thiner would make it more beliveable.
@ Slipstream
Nice work, but it looks like here lower legs are curved!
RobG (my name as well), it doesn't compare to that mustachioed fellow from a few months ago that I still show some of the younger lads when they're interested in NPR stuff, but its getting cool. I'm not sure about the model at the pelvis, and the dark line below the arms, but I (and everyone else) digs your style, man.
Personally i think the last dude i did was a bit suck frankly, i think this ones much better, ah this is still a early wip so the black line is just where i havnt painted yet.
yea lovely work there KP -- i think compared to his upper torso his abdominal/pelvis feels too thin. like its missing a layer of whatever in the front.
jarrod, looks quite 'photochopped'. each bit looks quite nice taken from a photo but together doesn't gel so well. also a lot of the stone is bleaching out to white which I think detracts.. you should check out some of warbys photosourcing for ideas

isn't her house supposed to stand up on chicken legs? You could maybe make those more visible, at least hint at the claws poking out from under the house or something.

I kinda remember them being a lot more hostile a year and a half ago, back when I first joined. I think PC is actually calming down.
Conte's just being a cock, he aspires to be Per and FAILS!

More work on the squirrel:
Forum for sure has become a pretty hostile place for trolls nowadays.
Killing people, thank you, friend.
although that said, reminding me of a kind of jetset radio / zelda colours fusion right now, which can never be a bad thing
edit: closeup of the smaller door:
well just for my pleasure quick "3d rough" to see what I can get.
