Made little animation with this guy. I made this in 2 days and a half. Made sort of an animation jam weekend. Modelled in Zbrush, retopo and UV's in Maya, For Pattern on the helm I used VDM brushes that I make as a practice every day here and now. Maps baked in various software mostly Substance Painter and Xnormals. Redshift as the main render. Textures made in Substance Painter. It was a fun sprint of an exercise!

Wanted to share the AA-12 I finished recently. Its not a beauty by design but has a nice sound when fired and I wanted to catch this moment since it's an automatic shotgun.
Finally finished this thing - first time really designing something "from scratch" and it was a lot of fun! Getting a bit more comfortable texturing made up stuff, especially seeing as I've only made pre-existing concepts or objects until now.

Hey guys, this is my thesis work which I've been working on for about 3 months and the modeling in Maya is almost finished, so I'm making all the modular pieces ready for Zbrush for high asset creation and baking. The name of the project is "Observatory of the Seers" and the location is "Morocco" and it is for third person gameplay. The original concept is made by "Asim Steckel".
An excersize in updating last gen assets to PBR. Have a few other old projects that I plan on updating to PBR as well. You can find breakdown on my artstation.

Currently in the high poly stage of a Defender and it's getting to a point where it looks like a whole vehicle. Still have parts to make before the high poly is finished but I would always appreciate some feedback over at my thread. If anyone has feedback come check out J Normans Hard Surface Journal.
