down_limit : I'd fo gor a more brown+orange color scheme to give him a steampunk feel (google steampunk ) , and maybe add a green light to the inside of the hood ( reflective form the head wich seems to be glowing )
And as an extra thing , you might wanna add some more detail to the mouth , like adding some thicknes to the teeths and rig it up
DL : when it comes to experimenting with schemes, doing so directly on the textures is usually a waste of time because 1-it takes time (!) because of all the file manipulations involved and 2-you won't get a chance to compare the before and after.
If you need to experiment with schemes, simply take a screenshot, duplicate it, and do all the theme testing and color changes directly on that screenshot in Photoshop. It will be 100 times faster and will give you a much better perception of where you are at.
Not a big fan of either the red or blue color schemes for the courier clothes. I'd try something like the actual website, with some dark and light gray tones, with some Polycount green details.
@dl sadly im a bit busy at the monment otherwise i would u some sketches, but what pior said is a rly good advise. its the same way i would also try it.
here's the progress on the crystal courier, sending it for rigging and animations.
changed the material on him to be crystal as well, sort of a diamond skin.
Top is original, bottom is all purple, next is purple carpet and orange helmet (I think best) though I do like the orange behind the swords more where they are most of the game.
Just to show that I am indeed participating here's the rough concept for my DP set based around the kitsune/ninetails. My buddy is still fleshing it out a little more to make the silhouette a bit more interesting but here's our starting point
i finnaly got off my ass and did a workday`s time of work. i`m pleased how it turned out. figured it needs a bit more polyshing on the masks department, and then i`ll try my hand at a promo art/loading screen... buuut i think i`l fail.
So if anyone is free to do a quick walpaper thiggie for me, i`d be more than happy to credit him entirely for his work.

Sukotto, nice ! It's good to see a version of that character coming to Dota, as it is so striking and iconic. Can't wait to see more.

And of course the wings will not be just flat blue I am really looking forward to working on all these bug-like materials !
Its a nexon chest meaning that it was not created by workshop artists and it is only avaible for nexo players - correct me if I am wrong.

I've been busy last week, still chipping away at the high poly sculpt. There are so many new things I have to learn to work on this set, but I'm glad I got the chance to learn and try new things. I've never sculpted ragged cloth, rock, worn armor with scratches, or this many cloth folds in one place before, I'm still not too sure about my rock sculpt.
Kei said he wanted the red shuriken in front of Storm's belly to have rough gem-like surface similar to the default belt's red gem. I tried sculpting on the shuriken but it turned out pretty horrible, maybe it's because of my bad rock sculpting. Here's the progress so far.
Yeah, when it comes to gems don't overdo the sculpting - just place a few scratches here and there and some subtle plane changes to give a subtle facetted surface. Most of the look will come through texturing.

Looks better Shock, but do you think you can remove the black outlines? Also maybe make greentooth more like a metal button/screw instead of an icon, like add a bevel to it?

things are starting to pile up for me so i will not make any more major modifications to the presentation image..... i tried to make some hand drawn lines but I JUST CAN`T DO (draw) IT YET* !

So many good stuff here since our last Naga update! Really liking that WD from mihal specially. Been a while since I saw anything I liked for him (can't trade my Skrillex hair!) but this is looking great so far! The hairstyle is cool and that green glow on the staff is awesome.
Here's how everything is looking so far on our end. Weapons are done and all LODs + textures are good to go! Just gotta do some extra tweaks and polish the rigging and start on the masks before doing promos.

@Blossomex, I think the ice colors are kind of simple, try having a gradient, Lighter in thinner ice, darker/ more saturated with thick/deep ice.
