One of my weak spots is human anatomy and especially faces, but also hands. So I decided to do likeness sculpts to get myself going. As you can see this pretty much sucks but its a starting point and Im hoping to do one a day next to my other projects in order to improve.
I just did an overlay and I already spotted many faults; mainly the nose and the jaw, but also the chin. I think the ear is the most accurate so far. The brow isn't accurate yet either. Sadly I have to go now but I'll continue on this later, so burn away, I'd like all crits.
the goal of this prop is to achieve next gen quality with limited polycount (8320 tris), texture space and re useable tillable texture. low rise model made in MAYA, sculpted in Zbrush, textured in Substance painter, Ndo and photoshop. I Also create tillable texture in Substance Designer from uniform color. Concept referenced Age of Conan- Ancient Tiger Statues

Detail pass on the arm (need to finish upper arm and shoulder) and assembled the legs and the arms on the torso. Think that im gonna tune down the details on the forearm abit on the final image. Next the hands and the back.
RAW RENDER VIDEO (300MB Turn around)

Also looks like it is actually raining and lightning in the rotation neat trix.
Fred:
Nice updates I saw the thread and too bad about not making it a real time, can't wait for more updates anyway. Will check the thread after your updates, looking good.
Posted about this a couple weeks ago, and finally had a chance to revisit it, and try to address some critiques and advice. Image is just a test bake with some super basic color... got some areas to revisit still.
Working on this pirate sword based on some Sea of Thieves concept art I found on google. Love how the textures are minimal and the normal map and shapes are doing most of the work in that game. Trying to hit the same thing:

Looks great! It seems like you've captured the homebrew design really well in this gun. I might just have to boot up Rust to check it out!
