Here is some fun with Marmoset. 3D scan store were giving away a free scan so i thought i might push Marmoset to see how close it can get to Modo renderer. It's not 100% accurate but it's good results for realtime.
Awesome Felix, i just tweeted this, if i knew your twitter handle i'd have included it. But i linked directly to this post so people should still see it's you anyway.
Revisiting the cliffs in SD after I finished that lava rock thing. I've gotten a little more control over the "paint" but the results aren't as good as the initial tests. I think I can balance some of the rock "sculpts" and maybe produce some better results.

I started a serie of drawing on the idea of a sci-fi with fantasy bits.
Here is what one of them look like
I will use this to improve my 2d render skills, and I might do some of them in zbrush later
Hope you guys like it
This is amazing!I really like the concept. I struggle with painting my sculpts. Do you have any tips for painting and rendering?
Thanks! I appreciate that. As for tips with texturing, I would say using reference is one of the biggest things. Look up pictures with whatever material you want to recreate and study it. Searching for tutorials is also extremely helpful both on subscription sites (like digital tutors) and public stuff like YouTube.
I personally use Mari for texturing which is powerful, but Mudbox works well too.
Hmm rendering, that's another whole topic. This was done using mental ray and I did it with practice and tutorials. Sorry for the vagueness of the tips, but there is too much to mention in such broad topics.
sooo after 1month of delay i've finished it!!
it's 19k tris including all effects like grass and dust particle
i've used 3 texture set... grass and dust are in a 256 texture the altar is split in 2 texture with 1024 and 2048 size
i've learned a lot working on this project so i'm really excited to begin another!!!!
