Started playing around with real-world measured luminance values and matching them with general RGB values for the sun temperature based on the luminance. I was also trying out the SVOGI in CryEngine at the same time. Besides having to do manual adjustments to the tonemapper, and I don't know if I did the math right, I think they provide some good starting points.
I've been working on a fully procedural Substance Designer material for tree branches with the intent of possibly making a Substance textured forest scene.
Very cool! You're really capturing the essence of this character! I too have a few of this concept artist's characters saved for future design ideas. I love his style.
great job on Andarius, Van! Swizzle, nice job on the blood elf! Khangaroo, loving the values and story to this scene, great job! scapulator, that's awesome, loving the bone and teeth!
great job on Durotan, Tim! IsadistI, those are really nice! FemCharles, super cute! you're making Max's character!
this is a tutorial of my texturing process and wip of my captain fortune fanart, was trying to figure out which colors to go with on her, more stuff uploaded to my patreon
Finally got around to presenting this high poly train bogie the low res is done and textured via Substance Painter. Just sorting out a few seams. I'll start a thread for this project soon
First time posting Quite amazing stuff you guys make. Truly inspiring. Anyway, I went on vacation to The Netherlands to see family and spotted lots of these during the trip. Thought it was a great way to get back into modeling. Keep up the great work guys
First time posting Awesome stuff you guys make. Truly inspiring. Anyway, when I went to visit my family I came across lots of these. Thought it would be nice as an excuse to get back into modeling. Keep up the great work all of you
Hope you guys like it. I'm gonna start on the low poly tomorrow and then begin the texturing. Gonna work harder on the wood textures this time around. Grimy concrete is easy but wood, not so much.
So for not being a character artist i'm somewhat proud of what I accomplished with this McBess sculpt I did for my wife that I'd like to try and print at some point.
Early blockout and paint for Millennial Fair from Chrono Trigger. Gonna take it into UE4 so I can vertex blend textures for variations. Flat shaded for now while I test it out.
All awesome and inspiring work. It all keeps pushing me to be better!
Here is something based off of a drawing I did some years ago.

Hi Guys! Last week I've been creating general medieval props ranging from low-mid poly. I've tried to model and texture a prop per night which was my goal. I have completed my little objective and would like to share it with you all as my first ever project.
Please don't hold back on criticism please, I have just started out and would like to know any tips

Thank you all! Peace out.
Yeah, you're right. SSS is off the table, but it does need more going on in the skin. Thanks man.
Love this!!
