Such amazing work on this thread. Can't help but be inspired.
This is a cross post from my sketchbook. A character I've been working on in my free time for a couple of months. She's currently being rigged, so I'll upload proper posed pictures shortly.
definitely feeling like your handle is a bit short and a little too wide on the back. the shortness could also be from how far down your handle guard looking thing is going.
My progress on my Ludum Dare entry, going to do ice fishing with the fish you hook swimming and slamming into tiles causing them to break making you have to jump from platform to platform while reeling them in.
Looking for thorough C&C for this. Want to put it to bed and move on to something else, but also want it to be portfolio worthy. Am willing to put in some more work to get it to that level, but not willing to really overhaul it at this point.
KNOWN ISSUES:
*Doors are flat planes; they have no detail. Will address.
*Lack of wires. Yes. I realize there are no wires. Bu wires are cliche, and frankly I just don't want exposed wires. I'm still thinking about it.
*Removing the floor lights because I feel they don't fit.
Baj Singh was kind enough to supply me with his model and bakes to play with the new DDO on. Here is around a two hour pass on the base texture most of the time was from setting up and building smart materials. I am basing my texture somewhat on his but not exactly like his. The next pass will be more material layering and definition. This was just broad strokes getting things out of the primer look.
Well - what better on a Sunday than a hungover, spammy cross-post from my DOTA2 thread?!?!
it was a loooong slog getting this one done. I was hoping it was going to be done much faster but loads of problems conspired against me on the way - glad to see it finished!
