Really wanted to learn a bit of UDK, having only ever really used in-house engines and Cryengine before. I'm really impressed with the material stuff, but going back to baking lights feels like such a step backwards in terms of time wasted! Bounce lighting is nice but lightmaps are so tricky to work with.
Still very WIP, just blocking everything out still.
Looks great. The hoses behind the arm act to much like a rope does they should be stiffer like there is a bunch of wires going through it.
Hope that helps.
I have not posted in a lonnng time, so here goes :P
Working on a game idea during some down time, Ico meets Spelunky meets Risk of Rain. No idea how far it'll go, but it's pretty fun concepting away in max. My goal is to actually get some sort of prototype going in Construct 2 one of these days.
As always, everyone has been posting some crazy awesome work!
Hi polycount, glad to be a part of you. This is my first post so i would like to share some work i did. Give me feedback if you can :poly142:

This sounds incredible! i want to play it already haha really love the first one, the horns add a really nice silhouette.
Playing Hearthstone made me want to do something Blizzardy, so I'm having a go at this Ancient of Lore (very Wip of course). I'm not very experienced with painterly texturing so any bits of wisdom would be appreciated.
AhH..that's tight man! I started modeling the same character a while back...need to get back on it. I really dig your take on this guy though! Nice job on the back, btw. I probably went through 2-3 iterations before I got something that I halfway liked.
Still not sure if I like this, either way its getting closer to being "finished", did re-topology of the tongue since it wasn't very pretty, UV map and texture for it. any crits appreciated.

After getting some brilliant feedback, I decided to improve it. (as you do) and improved my ISS environment into this.
Still WIP, but nearing the end.
Thanks for the CC, every little thing helps.
Cheers.

That sculpt is amazing and your workflow is awesome! I would love to see that time lapse in real time..
By the way, you should really send a render of that to Mr. Rolfe!

Still work in progress but I'm really enjoying texturing this, I think I need to come up with some better customisation though

This is first playable version so it's still pretty rough around the edges.
Crosspost from the character challenge of February!
I'm texturing an old model and need for suggestions and critics!
