Hi polycounters, I made a 3D He-Man based on an awesome design by Marco Furtado, so I'm calling him Furtados He-Man. Was a real treat to make such a fun character. Incorporated my own twist when sculpting, to make a somewhat different final. Check out the sculpt, hope you like...:)
This entire page is fucking mental! Nice work everyone. Here's a super over-produced render!
The M1 carbine was meant to be a shortened version, but it sorta just comes off as a bit wonky. I'm going to need to fix that. Fortunately I already have the proportionate model.
damn good work! love the pose and swagger here. you're right that the shortened carbine doesn't really read, but easy enough fix. if you wanted to sell a shortened carbine, it'd probably have to be even shorter barreled, with a different muzzle device perhaps, to show it's not stock?
if that's an m1c mag in his hand, be careful about scale. i own an m1 carbine and their magazines are tiny, tiny. about as wide as a pistol magazine (which it basically is a pistol round, of course), but it looks like he's practically holding some kind of rifle caliber magazine in his hand.
unless he's meant to be on the petite side (which the oversized boots kind of suggest), i'd scale down the gun/magazine with respect to the figure. same trouble a lot of people have with depicting the AK--it's actually pretty small, it's just that we usually see photos of smaller statured people holding them.
great work though! is this part of a bigger project or scene?

that´s what I call educated feedback - very interesting!
Game res character made as a tribute to one of my childhood heroes - Leonardo from TMNT. Rendered in Marmoset 2.
Polycount: 18271 tris. This includes both character and weapons (two swords, three knives & two stars). Character without weapons is 14923 tris.
Tried my hand at this week's Hard Surface Challenge...I kinda missed turbosmooth :icon15: Seeing all the other people learning on the challenge threads is really inspiring ^_^!
hello there,
this is my firs post and i decided to share my WIP with You guys.
It's my first sculpt in ZBrush, still got loads to do and loads to learn!!
Hello guys, i'm here to share with you my latest composition. It's about a boy and his robot. Hope you like it.
Softwares: Zbrush, 3Ds Max, Marvelous Designer and Photoshop.
Amsterdam Hilton Hotel: Awesome, textures are coming along great!
FridockShir: That is some really clean bakes
I just baked this:
Would it higher the poly count by a lot to leave the little indents on the cylinders modeled in? In the first person view it's very obvious, that they are flat everything otherwise looks great baked out just those dents or intrusions are very visibly normal mapped.

Isn't the res on the mesh a bit high...like way too high.
iammalte, that is really looking impressive even at this early stage. That's usually a good sign.

NICE work. I'm really interested to see how that inner lining fur in the jacket comes out great change up from the original concept.
Hazardous: Looking sweet!
