That is so odd man, I'm doing the same weapon at the moment haha. Your right hand side isn't as it would look like, it should have s dip in it. I know because I spent ages trying to that sodding part. Good luck with it and look forward to seeing more.
If I were you I'd just have a gradient or a flat background. What is this grid adding to your image exactly? If anything it's pulling the eyes away from your model.
Here is what I have been working on recently. I am making the art for a spooky game where you play as a cat. I still need to concept up an interior for the mansion and 8 more ghosts.
Hey Great Job Mafubash! They look very cool! I'd like to know how much tris do you use in these models? Thanks !!! Keep working!!! =D
I wanted to work on some sub d modeling so been working on this in my spare time. The character is just a stock model and will replace it with my own once I finish the hard surface portion. I was just going to do a bust for this so I should have the model hopefully finished in a week or two. Let me know if you have any suggestions!
Thanks,
Marc

I always like seeing what you make next, awesome stuff!
Thanks for your kind words everyone, here is a shameless crosspost from my thread:
Another WoW inspired weapon, been doing some hand painted textures recently and thought I'd take one of my characters weapons and give it the 'WoW' treatment
Alright more updates , baking was so weird,..anyway started to handpaint their albedos need to start painting her clothes and work on the eyes more(that stare) also excuse the crapy edge/flow topology(going to work on getting that better with my next project and better use of polygons) she sits at 50k, lol couldn't hit the 100k i wanted, and he's around 28k.. once his eyes/ all textures are finished being painted i'll go in quixel and start up specs/gloss then onto his hair cards...

Looks like a good start, though I'd take a second look at the cylinder. At the moment the shape of the cylinder would prevent it from revolving.
Horn close up :
This is AWESOME. May we see the maps?
calling this done.
here's some friday's zbrush practice
I just wrapped up this chest, more or less... One of my buddies suggested a few good tweaks but I need to look at something else for a while.:P
Original design by Brendan Olszowy and Jefferey J Robinson

Low-poly spacecraft I got asked to texture and retopo. I take no credit for the model, just the baking and texturing.
