Yesterday I created my first sculpt and now I'm doing my very first retopo. I really like doing it. But I have little concern. Guy in the video tut says that I need to keep my mesh nice and even. Can you help me to learn the criteria of "niceness" and "evenness"? How can I tell is my mesh nice and even enough?
Noob here. Can you guys help me here please?
Is there any tutorial to render alpha maps without fucking them up? Tried xoliul shader and marmoset toolbag, but still can't get my alpha hair to work right. Feels useless after doing a lot of work, but can't get it to look right.
Only thing that seems to work is using flat render..

So one sleepless night and my first retopology is done. yay!
Love the process. CC are welcome, please help me improve my skill. Both sculpt and retopo done in Blender. So here is the results:
Work in progress on a creature based on some concept art from Dead Space. Not happy with a few parts but probably need to mess around with it a bit longer.
This is my first creature ever made and ehm I'm looking forward to hear some feedback. Also, after putting all the images together I noticed I should've used a different material for the teeth.
So yeah, an attempt at a female face along with a polypaint pass, I might take this further, maybe even make a female character. Feedback more then welcome

Thanks! Not that I know of. I used a custom made alpha (from a photo) together with masking and morph targets to achieve the look that I wanted.
@JL-Art: Dat Couch! Really great sculpt!
Texturing this thing. Heavy WIP ofcourse! Not quite sure where to take it...haven't textured many guns by now^^

I built this litte procedural city generator:
Just click on the map and see a city get built. It's built in Construct 2, all in 1 day.
As always playable in browser:

Try it out!
ps. It's not very optimised, which you will notice if you create too much city.
Photoshop,nDo2+dDo
Normal and Displacement Test UDK
DX11 test on the left, normal test no DX11 on the right.

Cross-post with my sketchbook thread.
I experimented with a different rendering and construction method because I felt like I was in a rut.
Thanks AkiRa. : )
Sooo nice!
