Antonio Neves - Killing it like usual, love the work man.
Here are two models I worked on over the holidays. They are Battle Chaser Fan Art models, wanted to study their art style a bit. I have much more to learn but fun first steps. Big thanks to my mentor Katia Bourykina for helping me correct major mistakes and helping me get closer to the Battle Chaser style. These are diffuse only models and were modeled in Maya and textured in 3D Coat.
@Zugzug Cool snowman! is he secretly an oven?
@Neviril I like your textures, but I'm a bit confused on what mood you wanted to set in your scene.
@Tetrag0nBattle chasers is so cool I really like the depth of that bomb
Here's another one from me

Tetragon, Im loving those models, not an easy style to replicate desipte is simplicity.
here's a couple of mine, The sword was intended to be styled after the likes of WOW. Need some more practice on that, looks too clean right now.
The second one is a low poly prop from the Digimon series. Tried to make it look more worn and burnt out from overuse. Need to adjust my topology to fix the screen warping and add some wear to the belt loop.
Bwak.

Thanks guys
This is just me as well, but the black lines you got going on on those bombs look pretty off. This is mostly since I would've left out any pure black in a stylized texture. Try to find a nice dark color that fits there iso the black.
Yeah, the wooden planks originally gave me a lot of problems. It was just the way I awkwardly placed them and rotated them. It didn't allow me to paint a specific light source. The piece as a whole suffered a lot bc of that. Lesson learned definitely. Haha.
For the bombs I guess I was trying to define separate pieces, so the bombs looked more dynamic. But yeah I could see that I might have used pure black a tad bit too much in the piece. I acknowledge compositionally there are a lot of values competing with each other. I only caught that once I brought everything together unfortunately. It was a pretty ambitious piece and I learned a lot.
Thanks for the feedback, I appreciate it
A good way to distinguish separate pieces is to have the dark shadow tone, a shadow tone and a nice highlight next to it to accompany one another. It makes the depth read better.
A picture to accompany:
And a gif:
Hope that helps explain what I mean.
Woah ! That is awesome ! (Sorry, I got all hyped up to see a gif version of the process. haha !)
Anyway, yes it's much more clear now. Thanks so much for the paint over, it definetly helps me visualize what you mean.
The bomb definitely pops more and reads more clearly!

Blackrock Depths was my favourite dungeon back when I used to play, so I made a side entrance of sorts for it.
Other angles + an animated version I made for fun are here:

Instead of having multiple wooden planks you could have just made 1 and rotated it to make it look like it was different
other than that it looks good

I don't know if I like using normalmaps yet, it almost feel forced. The iron is very bland and simple, which is something I will have to improve on.
Like this, reminds me of dungeon defenders game
