update on my "hand painted" substance that really isn't painted. I think it's made some pretty good progress. I think..

Here's with some generic noise experiments:
Here's back to standard hand painted look:

Very nice painterly stuff from you, dude.
I think the metal is reading more like stone. I still don't consider myself any decent at metal painting yet, but I'd suggest making only the brightest of your highlights to be even brighter?
Hi arvinmoses! Here I am again
I believe you've been going back to the black shadows/ white highlights again without realizing.
The shadows are too dark and the colors don't match well together. The blend between the 2 colors can be better I believe ^^ Look at a few handpainted tileables and try to dissect the color use in them.
Just go back to my initial feedback and you'll be good to go.
you might want to re-calibrate your screen if you see your highlight near pure white. I could put at least 5 different shade before it being really white. metric meditation's one is really near white.
I think the problem might actually be the way you "chipped" the sword, making it look more like stone then anything. The best handpainted metal I've seen in a while was this:

This is already pushing it:
There's also this:
Bottom line: Steer clear of chipping too much. sharp and bright highlights that build up in gradient, added color variations and of course the reflection itself if possible.
C&C are encouraged!
Sword concept isn't mine:
Some hue changes I did for fun:
Yea I started seeing that. OTher than your paint palettes I saw a LOL article about their color palette for the new texture update. THank you for the crit! Always helpful.
Here is the latest iteration:
It's still in "beta" stages as far as controls but you can get it here:

Ah, lovely little vignette. Could use a touch of tiny kaiju, imo.
I feel like the modified one also makes the stones start to read either slightly wet or starting to glow a bit.
Looking good though man, wanting to see what your gonna model for them
Almost forgot how relaxing it is.

I'm getting back into 3Dcoat for the first time in a couple years. I'm working on a robot bust to follow along with Turpedo's gumroad tutorial on painting metal with form. Some of the brushwork is still a bit rough and his back needs something cool. I never thought I would have this much fun with 3Dcoat though. I used to hate it for some reason.

Yeah, honestly Metric Meditation, you're overdoing it with the dodge tool. It's present both on paintovers you're giving to other people, as well as your own work.
The glow messes up the perceived light direction, and also if you put that texture in a scene stones will draw more attention than they should; also tiling will be very noticeable due to high contrast.
