I've wanted to make something for Invoker for a long time and I actually just started playing him this week. I'm excited that he got into this month's pool.
BrontoThunder: I agree , I have 1 out of 10 accepted ratio. You( reverendK ) should do sets and single items allso, to increase your chances imo.
Some of them you just have to put them in the (learning and improving) category.
I also think that single items are harder to get in. The workshop is completely saturated by them so it'll be more difficult to get noticed. I hear that they pay off big time if you do, though!
Surefire way to guarantee you'll never get an item in the game.
You need to constantly work at it and improve you can't just expect everything you make to get in the game.
I don't intend to quit making things - I just want to focus on single items rather than sets for a while. the reasons being:
I work full time, i have 3 kids and my wife works when i'm not working. this leaves me little time to work on anything.
if I do a set i don't submit anything for about a month. this is frustrating and makes me feel like i'm going nowhere. I don't expect everything i make to get in, but if I can submit 5 or 6 items a month rather than one submission of 5 or six items a month then at least i feel like i'm getting things done - and get a little more regular visibility in the worksthop.
I really like doing sets, and I may even make an item or two that warrant pushing a few more items along the same theme out, but I really need to do something that allows me to have less time investment per project for a little while lest i get burnt out.
i am in no way losing interest in doing this, though. that should be clarified.
I was thinking about something, lets do the 5 firsts heroes for this month and 5 others for next, a lot of pepole want drow and sven badly, maybe next month , just an idea
This month :
Invoker
Kunkka
morphling
tidehunter
Prophet
Next month :
Dragon knight
Drow ranger
Faceless void
Sven
(maybe Bs or omni )
What do you think about it? Peoples seems motivated by the oldies, and it seems there are no "loosers" from the pool, just done later
I liek this idea
That means in july when I'm able to work again, I can make drow set

I think I just inferred the wrong thing when I read your post, my mistake -- I read it as 'all items' when you clearly stated 'sets'. Sorry!
Unfortunately I'm too late for the sky party
Anyway, I had a great time with this character! SWM Is awesome!
So..I'm calling this done. Please visit the workshop link and give me your feedback if you want

Just gotta finish this CK set first...
Haha, I know how you feel.
I'm going to focus on some single items for a bit...
But...I just posted it on the workshop so I thought the best place to share it was in this thread.
