Mark Scerny. A non-Japanese was placed in charge of the Playstation 4's architecture. A bold move that is not typical of Sony. The US market is the area where Sony could see the most growth. Courting US developers is more important for them now than ever.
Am I getting my hopes up for some game reveals? That's all I really care about, the connectivity is nice, but if none of that existed I wouldn't miss it.
this is amazing!!!!! live streaming to friends? instant upload while you play? video capture? so many good features!!! AHHHHH
Yeah I love that functionality, it's amazing. Remember all those times something awesome happened and you just wished you could show other people. IMAGINE!
instant streaming to try and game for free?!?!?! ANY GAME!? WTF!
Only relevant because, contrary to XBLA, many PSN games lacked demos. Every XBLA game has a trial. A far as downloading it, you're still consuming bandwidth so... ends up being similar.
Hmm if you have a "closed PSN" for internal company game-development, imagine what the replaying/streaming functionality would do for game-development, between devs and testers, stuff could be instant with good quality.
I wonder if that is also something they've thought about.

Lol, I seriously almost choked on my soda reading that.
edit: Wow, they're going over actual specs. That's rare for a launch announcements.
"Careful" as in PR / marketing bs lol
this stuff is really cool!

ASSIST!!?!
Why is that? other than pr jargon it seems pretty good so far.

haha yeah
It seems very weak to me. Gaikai doesn't work without colossal bandwidth, so I have zero interest in it. The interconnected stuff is garbage.
It has a damned kinect sensor and a 360 dashboard
