I wanted to do a likeness, it's not quite there yet, but can you guess who it is?

Awesome work everyone!
Good likeness of The Murray so far! I think you need to start defining creases and finer details more, though-- the likeness is there, the proportions look pretty good overall, but he looks turbosmoothed at the moment. Great work, though!
As for me, I was working on my old Dominance War V God of Metal (motherboard died during the contest, came back to it off and on over the last couple months).
Turns out my lo-poly hard surface work needs more love, I can't get the normals to bake properly (likely due to lack of detail in the LP). So I'm taking a break from fiddling with that guy to finish this cartoony explorer for a friend's game:
Retopo'ing this guy now, will hopefully finish with the retopo/UV layout within the week.
Also!! If you're in Chicago, come to Emporium arcade bar on Tuesday, Feb 26th to see the results of the Six Pack Game Jam! Indie City Games set up this awesome beer themed game jam. My buddy and I spent 2 weeks over Christmas/New Years making Fermentatron, a shooter about brewing beer, in Unity. You'll be able to play that and a bunch of other hilarious beer/drinking-related games in a sweet homebrew arcade cabinet.
Heres my weekly pokemon sculpt, since Charizard and Blastoise are already made, thought I finish the 3 iconic ones, so heres Venusaur! hope you guys like it!
so much great art in this thread i have been super busy lately with work so wasnt able to post anything before, here is a sculpt i did today
might as well post some other sculpts i did recently i will be posting actua game stuff once the game releases and i am allowed to. hope you guys like it
Wow there is some awesome stuff here! So, didn't expect to be making my first post on this thread but here it goes! Elephant boss WIP from a concept piece I made.
My color palette improved a lot since I started using Gamut masking It helped me understand colors so much.
gamut masking sounds interesting, how do you employ the theory when painting digitally? do you set up a seperate canvas in photoshop and paint the pallette down that you want to use before you start painting the picture?
As usual a lot of epic stuff going on in this tread! Finally kicking my butt to do some Personal work again. Back to working on the fat belly demon again. I spent some time working on the model in all areas. The tale is still work in progress including the head and upper arms. Once those parts are at the same level of detail I will resurface the entire mesh with a proper base mesh and start with the real detail work.
Here you go!
This is the previous version and the sketch I did on top. Its been Idle on my HD for... almost a year? BAD BAD!
Enjoy

@Ged Yes, I create palette on separate layer and pic colors from it. I cut interesting shape from color wheel and draw new limited color wheel, also lighten and darken colors by hue/saturation/brightness just like in this tutorial
Got it in-game, but all of the animations are too long and doesn't loop correctly. Any ideas?
Also, do CS:GO support jigglebones? It would be neat for the end of the grip.

Ans here's my cross post (no pun intended!) from my school project thread! Gotta sleep a little bit now...
Started blocking out the pose, this cartoony beauty should be done tomorrow
for a portfolio piece Im going to start working on...
Trying out a new technique for doing rockwalls. But It's also easily applicable to other textures. Gonna try to do a tiling one next.
This is lovely
Just fan art
Welcome to comment on anything.
your edges seem too tight to display well once baked to a normal map.
also what enginer are you building for ns2 spark or just udk or something like that
