Still working on my character a bit. I'm loving these newer ZBrush features that I'm just now trying out. Dynamesh is the bomb! Actually makes ZBrush a viable complete project workflow product - to me anyway. I always used ZBrush as a supplement before.
I just remembered that I did not share my latest work on my favorite forum hehe !
Thats my final pictures for my entry in Cghub Bioware ME challenge
Hope you like it!!
Background:
This is an ancient race in the Mass Effect universe, they come from the sea but evolution taught them to live out of it.
In the ancient times, Oravores started a war with the asari but they were not very successful and gradually died.
Nowadays asaris got a powerful oravore influence into their lineage, in the midst of the battle, something else could have happened
Oravores are a very wild and fast race, kind of look like squids.
Been trying to learn me some 3D art... I feel like I understand the basic theory just trying to put it to practice. So here's something I did to try and practice.
I think I am ready to call her finished. She weights in at 14.700 triangles including the scythe. 2048 maps for model, 1024x512 for scythe and a separate 512 for hair. The screenshot is realtime screengrab from 3DS Max using Xoliul Shader 2. Background added in Photoshop, other than that no post work. Let me know if you spot something that looks off, otherwise I'm on to animating some cool stuff with her.
Oh, and by the way, I decided to name her Phoenix.
I promised myself to finish a Drow Ranger set for Dota 2 within a month. Already few days in, it's hard since I'm still fairly new to this whole modelling thing, but I'll try. I gave up in the middle of alot of projects before, but I won't let this happen. This set has to be perfect. I'll post pictures once I finished the set.
I'm practicing some sci-fi assets while taking a break from my environment. I found this neat concept of some shield generator by Jeremy Love and decided to do it because it was fairly simplistic.
I had some technical issues with it though since my normal map UV's were mirrorred, so I spent some time today coming up with a solution for the nasty lighting error that resulted from it. I made a thread for it in Technical Talk so check it out.

I apologize for the horrible washed out colors.

Great work here!!
relying on the good courtesy of someone not attacking you in the back in a war conflict isn`t the smartest thing to do

It's still a WIP, I still have to rig it...
Lots of texture details...

Some practice on a hammer. Still at early stages.
