Here is my over detailed high poly character. First go at a character. Much to learn about character design. Check out my thread to see the build process.
dustinbrown, I'm really liking what you have so far. The only thing that I'd say though is that the seems in the coat such as around the shoulder could be deeper and emphasized more I'm thing that you could use a little more contrast in the depth. That's just a thought of course.
I'm just trying out some color if anyone has feedback or advice you can go here.
That's the high poly model finished. I've made the low poly model for it too, but I'm going to do some smaller practice texture bake projects and then come back to this as its rather complex.
So, newbie here, new to the forums and new to modelling and I have got to say... There is some seriously amazing work on this forum.
Here's a little thing I made. It's going to be part of a scene I'm working on, a military base in the style of Command & Conquer Red Alert. This'd obviously be a wall end piece.
I'd love for some Comments and Critiques if it's going, keep in mind that the wall section is just placeholder for the moment.
Wasn't sure what it was going to be at first, But I decided to go ahead with this pool idea.
Still alot of work to be done, the room is kind of boring atm, and way to monochromatic.
Next step is to add some big arched windows leading in to another room. Some vegetation climbing in through the windows and cracks. And ALOT of props and detail. Also a better pool (very placholdeer right now)
Will be updating this with TB2 when it is released
This is looking much better than when I saw it last; nice work. However, you've got some typos in your image: "reviever" should be "receiver" and 'scrope' is obviously wrong.
Did a quick update on my scimitar last night; made the handle look much more like leather. Closeup if you're interested.
@dustinbrown Very unique character, love it so far! Are you going to give him wings? or are funky moth patterns going to be on his jacket instead? @Twoflower I love the concept!
Everything else is looking great too! It feels like the bar is being raised every time I come on this thread.

Your pixels are a bit desaturated and the scale is too large on them as well.
Cool block out, look forward to the final
