This is the last WIP before I make my final render. Experimenting a lot with the metal texture and hair. Not happy with either yet. I will have this done by the end of the week! Thanks for looking
Going to try and make an environment. I've never done anything like this before so I'm keeping it really simple and graphical. My brother is working on a game engine so we're going to use the stuff I make for somewhat of a tech demo! Really inspired by this http://www.racer445.com/misc.html
So one of my favorite LoL characters is getting a facelift soon i hope, decided to do a little Sion fanart while we wait... no idea what i want to do with this yet, gameres/textures wise, and probably way too much detail so far for lols current specs but thought i would share day 1 of tooling around.
(Cross posting from my thread!)
Progress on the diner diorama, I'm still grey boxing thing so most of it is very wippy, by it is atkeast starting to resemble the final image in my head. Big thanks to the guys in the Hangouts for keeping me company all weekend!
@scotthomer Looking good man. The pipes coming out of the ground are a nice touch. Loving the UFO too!
This is just an idea but it might be cool if everything was a bit darker inside and the jukebox was the major light source, or maybe pull back its current light radius or somthing. I don't know i am sure it will be even more awesome when its done.
Like all the lighting trims on the outside of the building.

mhmi think i have seen this dinner before. like a dozen times or so.
but that doesnยดt matter cause it looks awesome!
interested to see what youยดll do with the place.
i am back at the heads, totaly not final or anything:
testing out a new brush for low poly hair in zbrush, Video is in realtime too. Only problem with it is IMM brushes dont allow UV info so you do have to unwrap it afterwards. This one took me about 5 minutes in the end to unwrap onto 2 islands and fix any warped UVs I had, so its not too bad. The main thing is its really fast and clean and easy to work with. Will iron out some kinks and release it soon

Very cool brush, hope to see it release soon. Any time line to when that would be? I was just wondering. I have tried making one similar using the curve insert mesh brush but it not going so will.
Crazyfool, i use the same approach to hairs in ZBrush! For the UVs i usually just Zremesher the hair subtool and then edit the islands in maya. Would be nice tho if the IMM brushes handled the UVs!
Finally had a few hours free to put in this guy and i think im going to call it done!
It's been a while I wanted to post this dude here, so I'm just going to call it done and let go for now, by the way guys your works are really inspiring, so keep it up

Cool design, face has a lot of personality.
Of course you won't be happy with the metal, it has no specularity & reflection !
Crank it way up, and darken the diffuse as needed to compensate
I recently finished my Anatomy for the Artist project.
Cheers!

Nah, I love them and I love thinking of the way you build the images.
What I love most is that in contrary most modern character/monster designs,
