anyway i am updating my folio with new stuff and this is my first character which i think is close to done for the new folio, i am hoping to start applying for jobs soon so any feedback would really help me out nail the images for my site. anyway i hope you guys like it
Hello everyone, I just finished up a piece I've been working on for awhile, here are a couple of renders. Here is the thread http://www.polycount.com/forum/showthread.php?t=122367 if you want to see my progress, enjoy your weekend!!!
ILLMATICC I gotta agree with Ysalex there, he's only 5 heads tall. And those shirt creases are very floaty, nice around the tuck in at the belt but need weight and a physical cause everywhere else.
I love referencing these scans at peeps, they so cool.
Awesome thanks for the ref man. Will start a thread for my next char, i deff appreciate the crits
I can say I'm finished with this one, C&C are welcome!
Hey man. I love what you did here. I love the style and overall vibe. I did a paint over of your scene as opposed to writing feedback. I didn't change anything. I just added a few things that I thought would be cool if you did.

Thanks bud! I can say that I was already working on PostProcessing and VFX to obtain that steam effects you've painted over. You're not going to kill me if I use your paint over as a ref, don't you?
Hopefully get him rigged up and ready for animating tomorrow. Its nice having a break from the super kid-friendly cartoony game I've been working on for over a year (Nick and Jane for iOS)

I'm really digging the look and style of this zombie, looks really good. It's really cool to see a zombie with a own style, like not so generic. The only thing i'm not digging is the normalmap on the shorts and the thickness of them. But i'm guessing it's a part of the style. Also, interesting with the eyes, like they're not so clear. It really sets the zombie to a diffrent cloudy mood in my eyes. Great work!!
Here are a few of my final renders of the scene I've been working on. I also have made a download available for anyone interested in walking around it to give more accurate feedback. It's like 300 megs though so download at your own discretion. DGagner_Scene_UDK_DOWNLOAD

Of course you can. Although I feel you can make your scene look much better than my paint over. I can't wait to see what it will look like. Please post up when ready. And again, I am really digging what you have here. From the light sources to the overall vibe, my mind races to imagine what lies at the top of those stairs. Oh, and it would be super cool to see some leaking pipes and sparks from damaged wires. But I have a feeling you thought of that already.:)
this needs to be made into a game dude.. the simplicity to the level would make it easy enough to quickly dish out a few levels, and the characters have lots of character to them, good that you gave them facial features!

2800 Tris, rendered in marmoset toolbag.
Tried to make it look like a Game piece
Hair needs quite a bit of work to get it curly enough for my liking. Having a hard time doing that with Maya HairSystem.
Mateba 6 Unica Autorevolver.
