Been working on my material definition, I had a high poly of this shotgun from awhile back so I thought I would use it for practicing my texturing. Rendered in UDK and cross posted from my working thread: http://www.polycount.com/forum/showthread.php?t=125668
It's in an early stage, but here's what I'm currently working on. It's an A34 Comet, a late WW2 British tank. Working to get a better lighting rig than my previous Jagdpanther model (this is a slight improvement but still a way to go) and have been practicing with methods of creating metallic weld lines around parts of the tank without having to export to Zbrush or Mudbox. Pretty happy with the results so far.
crrutch: Really exciting to see you do something out of your comfort zone, but not surprising that the execution is top notch as usual! Looks like you've got something special going on with that project, can't wait to see more.
As of yesterday I've become addicted to listening to space movie soundtracks and painting stuff like this... pretty clich
Hey guys, I was following along with one of the Digital Tutors tuts so this might be a common sight, but here's my demon in the works- any critiques would be appreciated.
i just looked at your gallery and many of your renders look dark. is that the style you are going for. i ask because since these are mainly untextured models it would be nice to see them clearly with good lighting. may be your monitor gamma setting is off ?
Somnovus: Thanks, I'm trying to get the same energy in the faces, atm I'm still focused too much on getting the likeness right
Anyways ... Crosspost from the sketch thread !!
