Another WIP of the Apartment scene I'm working on. Got lots left to do. This was just a practice with Cryengine, now I'm going to be making it more like an actual game environment
A small update... still have a lot of surface detail to do. I have added some spikes along the spine and also some smaller poisonous darts around the shoulder area. I will echo that design along the tail but still have to get around to it. Slowly but surely getting there...
needs WAY bigger pecs, delts, and lats man... you have any idea how much strength would be needed to counter the drag from those wings without your chest tearing itself apart?
I'm liking the diffuse map, it's quite vivid, and scratches like I imagine a space marine would be. The specular map feels really flat. I also feel that you can use the emissive map to create a cool fall off effect on the light source coming from the eyes.
Where in the hell is the track in that picture....No wonder the guy in the back is having such a hard time. i would too if the rollercoaster just flew off the rails.
Not bad, though, there's a little inconsistency in the value of different pieces. The columns stand out a lot as too dark. I think it would work better if the overall diffuse values were closer to the upper part.
started on this one yesterday night.. finished it now.. took way longer than it had to I guess.. too much cs:go and kaki no tane addiction lately..
having a bit of a hard time with the hair at the start of this animation, will smooth that out and maybe call it done after poking at some curves..
thinking of starting an animation/reel wip thread soon.. tihi
Pretty much ran out of time and willpower to continue this portfolio project. Been working double time on it for more than a month, so I'm probably going to go sleep/play some video games for a while now.
I wanted to take the piss out of the idea of a Citizen Kane of games by doing Citizen Kane for GameArtisans' MovieFest, but I couldn't quite catch Orson Welles' likeness:
Playing with Dishonored's style, I'm fairly pleased with this one:
Designed her myself and here she is, textured and rigged! Not calling her done yet though. Still a lot of things I'm considering to improve, especially the rigging.
This character is really charming! Just the right amount of detail, love her expressions. The darker, less saturated shading on the sweater is making it appear somewhat dirty though. Other than that, I think you really nailed a unique look.
Learning to attach properly. You all seem to be attachment pros, how do you do it! I've uploaded the file, chosen the attachment, saved the change and....no deal.
El Scorcho, man I always love your cloth!
I wish i could work that magic, lookin' ace!
Thanks Funky! I could say the same about your speed and creativity. I've been watching those Zclassrooms to catch up to you. As well as those awesome videos you've been posting.

Oh that would be fantastic! I've not been animating this summer, but I could definitely use some people to intimidate me in motion as much as the rest of you folks do in still.
Also, I love that flip kick you've got. Looks great!

Was going to use them for an environment but I don't think they are going to work. Oh well.
Here's the thread for it!

Ignore the poly count in the corner, they are 1.5k tris each.
It would feel way more grim dark.
Cross posting like the pros.
Bake finished and initial color blockout

Absolutely stunning
Busy working in Cable from X-men.
Just Mayas automatic skinweights + Colin's bear reference :poly142:
~2.5k tris - 2048 diff, spec, gloss, nrm
(Might redo the render tomorrow, since the middle one still has the lever and safety rings on it)
just placing the objects in the scene got loads left to do
Here's a hint to burn into your retinas
