You guys are so good that I just about can't stand it. haha amazing work everyone!
pradeepkhudia, those renders are amazing!
future-fiction: that anatomy study is great!
Gav: Looking sick! You're a beast, man!
Everyone-Else: you're bosses, keep up the inspiration
to celebrate winter, I... wait what the hell? I did almost this exact same thing last year! Something about summer makes me think of fall/winter, apparently
I did another sculpt while waiting for feedback from a client :poly122:
It was mostly to test out Micromesh which I've put off for a long time because I'm totally lame. I used it for the hat and the scarf. I really didn't have a good plan while I was sculpting so hopefully the composition turned out okay! :S
I did a timelapse as usual too if you're interested in such shenaniganry!
MrNinjutsu - Thanks, your face sculpts are really cool :] El Scorcho - Thanks, yeah I find the arms the hardest part tbh! Haha yeah, thats shows which parts I understand the muscles more too, legs and arms are still kind of a mystery, lol. Thanks for the book rec, haven't seen that one yet! Gav - That cloth is insane, really like the beat up details and thumb poking through the sleeve Funky Bunnies - Thank you, your timelapse was really fun to watch, I had no idea about the micromesh feature, I also really like how you make hair! The end result has a lot of personality, it really comes together when you put the teeth in haha. How did you make the eyelashes?
Torch: Nah man, don't get the wrong idea. This one took me 6 hours + presentation time across 2-3 days - some clients are just slower than others XD
future-fiction: thanks a ton! I made a really sloppy IMM brush for lashes, but it seems like they may have changed the way they work in 4r4+ I can't seem to get it to scale from the root when i check on size. It was mostly to test out IMM because lashes are always an annoying timesink for me, but if anyone wants to try it out, feel free!
I again added a fancy new feature to my game Last Knight:
[ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2ra1nMnLBaQ"]Last Knight - Touching the world has an impact! - YouTube[/ame]
This time its world deformation destruction! Completely done within the shaders basically just some variables get passed to it and of course the particles are something extra.

Holy piss this game looks absolutely fun to play. Who does your music?
Super personality in that guys design Gav
Futurefiction, your slowly getting there. The forms of the upper arms are still outta wack atm tho, biceps, brachs, triceps. Biceps are generally like rectangles, flat on top, unless the dude is seriously buff. Serrats are alittle off, Also he needs some balls
I did a quick paintover, super loose so don't hold it as biblical.
Jamesy dude that's so awesome!
El Scorcho beautiful shirt, the shin creases look alittle like cardboard tho man, they need some weight. crazyfool gave me an amazing crit recently on creases. One sweet reference site is ten24's 3dscanstore.
I got some crazy awesome crits recently so I've reworked dees trowzurs:
Decided to take a break this week from my Girl With The Dragon Tattoo character and I started this low poly character. Prof. E.G. Inassot, still wip

I've had some time away from Heavy Gear Assault and have tried to keep busy (interesting going back to UDK for these assets after playing with UE4 on Heavy Gear). Comments more than welcome! Renders snagged in UDK.
Did a quick rig using Mixamo, but I forgot about their lack of forearm bones, so this guy doesn't deform too well. But that's cool, my buddy is rigging him so I can animate and get him into my unity project.
PS. My URL, davidmann3d.com, still leads to my old website. Hopefully that'll be fixed this weekend when the domain transfer is complete.

Here's a few pics of the demo scene that we will be releasing before our next kickstarter this holiday season. The longest Nights: Darkest Blood (formerly Sanguine Nights: Darkest Blood) is a modern nights vampire video game built in the spirit of VTM: bloodlines.
@Davision: Last Knight looks incredible, I can't wait to play it! I love all the "little" details you're putting in with the deforming meshes, ragdoll on a rope, lots of nice touches that really make it stand out
This is the first time I've ever made a model bigger than 2k tris, and pretty much the first time I've sculpted. Some nasty seam issues and the texture is placeholder, but a really fun learning experience!

scott- great stuff, really enjoying the lighting on this scene.
Term- such a cool batman.
scudz- love that expression, subtle, but so much character.
