Really great stuff in this thread! I enjoy watching it daily. I'm shitting my pants to post this here, but this is deadpool I made a some time ago for a course on my school. It was actualy my first Zbrush project.
Hey everybody! This is my first post of a model I created. I wanted to practice my weapon creation ability. Let me know what you think.">http://www.flickr.com/photos/14183466@N02/8678177605/" title="Hell_Sword_HP_Render_002 by toddverdeyen, on Flickr">
honestly, every time I come back here and check out this thread new awesomeness has spawned in so many different styles and designs. It's really cool to see )
Here is a version of Killer Croc I am working on. Minus the teeth and eye balls. Only my second sculpt in Zbrush but learning alot from it and feeling alot more comfortable than my 1st one.
Hi polycount! Now working over model based on Jaemin KIM creature concept. At first i started with highpoly and here is turnaround shot. Now working with beauty shot from pose nuber one. Later i will continue with middlepoly and put it into UDK for great ingame shot.
Hey this is my first post ever been reading for about a month now and just did my first texture ever. Used sketchbook and 3ds. Anyone else ever use sketchbook or is that frowned upon?
i really enjoy shader work in the UDK. no diffuse or spec textures, just vertex blending between colors and different tiling normal maps i made procedurally. there's also baked AO map and normal map for the tiles which get factored in in the shader (it uses cook-torrance for the specular term)
Spacecentipede: looking really nice so far! great concept choice btw, ive been meaning to take a crack at the fish dude on the same concept page as that piece.

This is amazing. I'd love to see a breakdown of your workflow and/or your material setup. Keep it rocking
Another awesome piece Fightpunch, you too CodeFather.
@Fightpunch - How long does it take you to create something like this?
Anywhere from an hour to eight, depends on how quick I solve design problems. These guys were a blast though and went relatively fast, around 2 to 3 hours each.

Super awesome work dude! Only critic to windows material, unfortunately marmoset doesn't support proper render of translucent objects
Ty , agree with glass, but think it's my fault i needed to look why i had problems with transparency and just used alpah-to-coverage(which sucks for this )) as i have other stuff to do heh.
Hey guys, here is a female character that I have been working on. I still need to sort out a lot of things with the anatomy but I am pretty happy with how she is progressing.

Thank Massbot! It's rendered in 3ds Max with Mental ray, using Mental Ray Area Omni lights

Can now show the game resolution of my Spacegirl, should have new (possibly better) renders soon:
Also made this little guy for some Unity learning material - you might have seen him at the Unity booth during GDC
Awesome work everyone!
