Hi polycount! Now working over model based on Jaemin KIM creature concept. At first i started with highpoly and here is turnaround shot. Now working with beauty shot from pose nuber one. Later i will continue with middlepoly and put it into UDK for great ingame shot.

That fatness increase/decrease was surprisingly easy to setup in the UDK shader system, painting the vertex mask maps was tricky though.
Since im kinda stuck with wte skinning of my character, here some handpainted textures, currently working on the frame and i'll add some details to the door later.
Workin' on a door! Soon to take a break from this piece (going to build the low poly, bake, and texture this initial sculpt pass for a stand in for a while), and work on the mini scene around it for thee ol' Folio.
(P.S. the hinges will have a mount, and the two bottom hinge door things are stand ins. When I go to bake, going to duplicate the top one to fill their places)
Work in Progress for my project in UDK. I drew the concept on the left and now after blocking out the base in Maya, I did some detailing in Zbrush, baked some maps and now texturing.
I was watching Bungie's Destiny world-building GDC talk and they showed some thumbnail concepts sketches of weapons and I like one of the LMGs:
( one side low-res video screencap is all I got to work with :-\ )
So I opened up Max and blocked out some variants to see how its shape works out in 3D:
Some proportions are a bit funky and certain aspects of this thumbnail concept dont really translate that well into 3d, but it should still be fun challenge.
I got some free time this weekend, so I think I might take the whole thing and make it a nice high detail sub-d mesh.
It's certainly an interesting concept and leaves enough to the imagination:
It's been pretty rough trying to figure how all the shapes fit together, especially with the limited reference of the old cutscenes, but I've gotten through most of the thorny stuff.
Started working on this Groudon today, sculpting in mudbox, this is based off of the realistic groudon concept from a fantastic artist. hopefully i'll be able to bring his concept to life by next week. Ill post more updates soon. C&C welcome
Switching between escape contest stuff and this. Still trying to learn realistic rendering after my disastrous attempt at my wifes portrait. Not even approaching good, but I'm learning.
Here's a concept paintover of a model i'm working on (based on a super awesome concept done by a co-worker.)The original drawing was in b/w so I'm trying out some colors.
I'm trying to remake the mech from the 1998 game FutureCop LAPD: Reference My Robot

I loved that game back in the day! Its looking already really good!

The detail on the paintwork is great but unfortunately the text on your interior is mirrored and stands out quite a lot

And everything else is just mindblowing around here as usual.
I just wanted to share our Escape progress here:

loving that.
SpaceCentipede
wow, textures please.
Taking this anatomy study nice and slow.
Hoping I'll get more out of it if I am more deliberate in my process
Here's a little piece of the project I'm working on for class. Texture is a WIP. I feel like I'm finally getting the hang of this whole 3D thing.
Slowly workin' on the texture! Not looking forward to making those hair planes though :S

fightpunch, why are there not games based on your characters - awesome stuff.
The boat's high poly for my ESCAPE entry. I think I'll play around a little more with the engines.
Also, the muscle tool in 3D Coat is pretty good for cloth folds. Please excuse the lack of awesome sculpting skills in this video I made:
