So I'm making a low-ploy game model its about 5000 give or take and I put it into Zbrush to do some high quality sculpting on it. I then exported the detail out as both a diffuse map and a Normal bump map to put on the model in Max which mapped out from the beginning by me. However the textures on the Max side of things…
Hey all, Here's the deal. I have a monster animated in maya and I did the entire animation in Y up. But I've recently learned upon importing the animation that UDK uses Z up... (wasn't paying attention to the xyz at the bottom). I just want to know if there's a relatively quick way to re-orient the mesh in maya without…
Something I realized, after smoothing out polygon mesh in z-brush and import into Maya, the UV of each every single face is seperated from each other. How can I make it not do that? Because when I make normal maps, these seperated UV faces creats little crack lines throughout the normal map. Really need some help here.
Hey guys. This is my take on a environment prop for the game World War Z, really loved that obscure/apocalyptic feeling of the game and i wanted to make something that would match it. Critics are welcome. =) Artstation : https://www.artstation.com/artwork/qAVLmL
As long as I can recall if I want really fine pressure on my brush I need to have the z intensity down to like 3-20 pressure. This sucks because I have so little room to refine the pressure. I wish if was at 50 pressure it felt more like 5 does now. This way I'd have far more fidelity in pressure. anyone else feel this way…
What you say sounds really promising, but what worries me is that those transforms are pretty much "free hand" unless you hit the key for the axis every time, and beside that X-Z Y are pretty much far apart in the keyboard... Seems like something that would work better for the blockout of some organic shape, and not hard…
I really like the Ephere scene manager, but when I install it it seems to make Alt-Z stop working as a way of switching to the zoom tool. Has anyone else had this problem, or is there a better scene manager or something? I made sure it's not just overwriting the hotkey or something but that's not it.
Hi there, I've been following a little video tutorial on getting started on z brush. So been using the orb happily up until this point... as you can see from the image I've been using the orb brush to create some of the scratches on the piece of wood that you can see towards the left and right. But now for some reason that…
this should be a simple one hopefully, but I can't see how you go about it. I have some verts on a model I want scaled the same ammount in z and x but not in y at all. The scale tool only lets me select one axis at a time, or all- how would you go about just using two? Someone suggested locking the y scale axis of the…
Hay everyone, first off I want to say thanks for any help I may get for my question and hope to return the favor someday Basically I have been messing around with Z brush recently and was wondering if there was a good source of information on how to use it, I learned a few things but a good information reference would be a…
