I will, they are mostly 100% tilable. The problem is the viewing angle of the roof which kill the normal-effect, I probably would have more detailed roofs if it wasn't so expensive ^^. Haven't seen a game so far where you walk on the ground with super-detailed roofs. Last thing I've seen really detailed roofs was in…
Area-F Environment : Development Diary https://www.artstation.com/artwork/ybvr25 Hello everyone again, I wanted to share a job I did a few months ago for the school where I study, I created a documentation to accompany the work and I would like to share a little of that documentation by creating a post on this page. + 0 to…
Hi all, long time lurker first time poster. I have always wanted to post here but figured I was not good enough (I know poor mentality and if I don't post I run the chance of not getting better). So anywhoo, I decided that I wanted to make a new portfolio piece, something that is not typically me. I tend to use very…
Finally able to get my Throne Room started! I'm a student at the Art Institute of Phoenix (Game Art and Design) and now that I've finished up a few midterm projects I'm underway and extremely excited! My concept is to create the throne room of a rogue mage that magically enslaved an ancient golem, and to compound his…
@stromberg Thanks for the advice! I'm going to take a little break in texturing (I'm getting frustrated in fact) Since I'm planning to deviate from the reference, I did a little research about the things that I can put in the scene and also why I put it in there. Thermometer thingy: I've research a little about radiators…
I think the reason you don't see many ancient/medieval shacks with all wooden roofs is because they would leak like crazy unless the hand-hewn boards were overlapped, like a shingle roof, or if a layer of thatch was added on top. And if they have straw/thatch, why wouldn't they use it on the roof to waterproof it? And why…
Hey all! So I've seen a lot of really nice re-lighting projects lately and really wanted to give this Victorian Dining Room a shot. It's from the marketplace here: https://www.unrealengine.com/marketplace/victorian-dinning-room This is a WIP shot on medium quality out of UE4. I stripped out all of the lighting and post…
Oh wow, you pretty much nailed it! maybe its only image gamma issue but that bright hotspot light coming from the window hitting the floor should lit up the room even more. Shadows of coat and projector would be a little blurry unless the roof lamp is on in that case sharp shadows with more top highlights on objects within…
Thanks Amadeux, and thanks Fireborn for the critique. I think in the process of painting I forgot what I was actually doing and ended up with the wrong look. Here's the updated shot. Hopefully made it read more as wood and root like. I also added a hole in the roof above the jump pad; it wouldn't be very fun crushing your…
Thanks guys :D @Mark Dygert that's a good point, I'll try and add some more room around the front wheels so they have a wider turn radius. And don't worry the stuff on the roof hasn't been touched yet, I plan on Zbrushing more detail into them, like folds and biting ropes and then the rope details will be the last part I…
