I read somewhere that you want to keep your quads planar for game models or else it won't render right in a game engine. Is this true? It seems impossible. It would rule out vertex positioning by hand, as soon as you push a vertex around a quad is "broken" into two triangles. Also, if its going into a game everything is…
My question might seems stupid but i'm very new in 3d and using motionbuilder only for one month. Please don't look my excuse. I'm using motion builder to retarget animation to a character. I did the body part. Now i need to retarget to a motion capture data to the character face. But the problem is Character does not have…
Hello guys! It's my first ever post on polycount (yay, celebrate with me!) so I'm really sorry if I placed it in a wrong thread. [tl;dr : What programs should I learn at first, how to model, first learning basics of Maya, then thinking about UV/proper geometry/textures or everything at once? Any tutorials for…
Hi everyone. I have a problem, and I don't know how to fix it :'( there is an object with a thickness (jug) when I erase some bugs inside it I have new bugs on the outside checkmark "Ignore back faces" isn't help with it ;(
I want to do a more realistic, slightly deformed woman's face. Aiming to get a saggy, partially swollen skin effect (think of a demon living in your basement for 35 years on not a great diet). So far I'm trying to get the shapes right, and I'm kinda failing. Her head looks way too alien, and I'd like her to feel more human…
does such a script exist for max? I could n't find anything on script spot, but might have missed it. so yeah I want all the internal edges on a mesh to face the same direction(this improves the look of smoothing of certain types of meshes)
Yeah that is just with editing the model to see if faces themselfs are flipped. I asked about if only the UV's are flipped, if there is a indicator for that. Since i pretty much didn't notice i had flipped faces on my UV layout until i used a normal map.
Hi Polycount, Thought i'd post this here, as I'm not yet confident enough to post my work on pimping n previews for some harsh crit; I will once my base mesh is finished; and I start sculpting! I've made a base mesh body which I feel is adequate in proportion and been working on a face; but for some reason I look at it…

I hope you'll like it and tell me if you've got any advices. Here are the results. First sculpt Second one And third sculpt which is the best I'll pin…
