Hey everyone! I wanted to start work with a environment which I have always wanted to recreate for a while. Even though I rarely watch TV, I thought this was a great environment to try and hopefully recreate from Friends, so this thread will be detailing my recreation of Central Perk! The iconic hangout spot for Rachel and…
I keep getting this error all of a sudden when trying to render a blockout map in 3ds max using Textools 4.10 --Type error: setclipboardBitmap requires BitMap, got" undefined Also, when I choose Save As.. in the render map options, it just saves a blank image.
Would you say these animations are ready enough to turn on smooth tangents and begin polish, or do they still need some more work? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nnJs5ej4LKM Also is it common practice to use stepped tangents and blockout on walk cycles or do you normally just go in with default smooth tangents?
ofcourse you DO the blockout step, but the mistake a lot people make (me included) is skip ahead way too fast. the longer you work on your blockout and make sure you have a 100% perfect base to start from, the better your end result will usually be. at least, that's my experience :)
Hi, today I release my last research in ue5 for geometry scripting. The goal was to create base shapes for fast level blockout only in ue5. All scripts are modular. Converted "meshes" or "level packed actors" can everytime updated with source script. Additonal contains the project new grid texture (meter & pixel) for…

GDC is next week and I'm working non stop to turn this into a full high poly piece into my portfolio but I am wondering if I should move into the Fennek and make it a high poly first and then see if I have time for the…

A few screenshots about an environment that I'm designing as demo scene for a sci-fi modular kit that I already made. Almost all blockout section will be replaced with an alien rock, like that on the background mountains. Art pass on buildings almost completed. Maybe I need to add small rocks ( as covers ). Take a look at…
Really new to unreal and when I import my fbx blockout of what I have so far it comes in and part of the railing area isn't how it is in max, its pushed back in unreal. here's some pics
Hi, i'm a beginner at 3D modelling and most of the stuff i have done for the moment has been very "cubic" lets say and not very complex. So i decided to try and model a weapon i drew and i'm currently doing the blockout, but i'm having some troubles. First of all i'm lost as to how to make my model look smooth without…
