Is it just me or does dyanmesh in ZBrush 4R5 just subdivides WAY too much? I have a pic in comparison. I'm resorting to going back to 4R4 b/c i'm just used to its workflow.
I would say 95% of the time I use Dyanmeshed meshes to bake and retopo with. Sometimes I Decimate it sometimes I dont. Sometimes I just knock down the Dynamesh res and just use that as my bake/retopo.
Hello friends, I am running into trouble going about a workflow using 3Ds Max to model a hard surface prop with smoothing groups and then transitioning to Zbrush to use those smoothing groups for gaining more control on smoothing and refining the sharp edges. So I have seen a tutorial where a model with well defined…
Hey every one. Ok I'm working on blocking out a dragon in zbrush and everything was working fine and at some point the dynamesh stopped adding Geo. No matter what I do or add it will not go past 150k pts. I have even exported the model out of zbrush in obj format then brought it back in and dynameshed it with the same…
Can someone explain to me please the logic behind dynamesh polygon count? It's always inconsistent. Sometimes I import a model, set dynamesh resolution to 1024 and get 4 mil points. And other times it will be 300k points. Just now I was working on a piece of a model where I needed to make holes via dynamesh sub. I'm…
Is this possible? I’m using the dyanmesh / merge down with another subtool selected as “subtract” to remove parts from my main subtool, which works great. I’m wondering if I could keep the subtracted part as a seperate subtool or polygroup. Would be very useful when sculpting damage/ruins.
Hi, I have some issues with the dynamesh in ZBrush. No matter how much I work on something, having 500k points or 3.000k points dynamesh always bring it to 118k points and removes all details in the process. Dynamesh resolution is set to the max 2048... :/ For a good model, a dynamesh of 50 or 100, is enough to keep most…
what you can do is scale the subtools up and you will get denser dynamesh if you are running out of resolution. But that's not a good solution when you have things scaled correctly to realworld/ project scale. At that stage you probably could be moving towards non dynameshed topology anyway though. I'd think about…
This is what I was able to do it in about 20 mins, it only took that long since I had to actually create a concept. I used Maya to use booleans and then imported them into Zbrush. I then used Dynamesh Master to Dyanmesh the objects into 3 million polygons. Then I simple just used the Polish feature and got a total of 6…
Hi guys, I started to use Zbrush recently and I have a problem with DynaMesh, every time I try to DynaMesh my model it fills the holes in it. this is the model After I use DynaMesh as you can see the hole is closed so I did some research and what I found that I have to go to preferences then set the DynaMesh colse hole…
