i have what i assume is a really simple issue but i just cant seem to figure it out maybe im just tired or something but i cant seem to keep this cut squared up and keep the cylinder uneffected no matter where i put the edge loops it effects the rest of the cylinder
I modeled a medium/highrez head for a normal map. I would like to know what are good ways to optimize it so i can have a lowpoly out of it ? is there anything that some of you guys do/use to de-rez a head ? or do you just re-start from scratch and rebuild something around the highrez one. thanks
Im pretty new in hardsurface modelling and modelling in general so dont expect anything epic. Any tips or tricks how to make it look better? Any c&c is welcome My concept->http://fc06.deviantart.net/fs70/i/2014/111/4/f/plane_concept_by_make666-d7ff6h7.jpg Current progress (Update 29.4.2014)…
I'm trying to get into Zbrush for the first time and I'm wanting to sculpt some detail into a wooden gun stock I'm making. I made the shape of the stock in Maya and I've brought it into Zbrush but I can't figure out how to smooth it so I can start sculpting details in it. Exactly what steps do I take to do this? How would…
Hello everyone. I'm new here. I will be retopologizing him by now and i kind of don't know how to approach it. Should i make…
Hi, this is an NPC woman I'm working on for a school project in the making. I won't be going into extreme detail levels with her, mainly just basic shapes. About the face, she is to be looking a bit frightened. The view in the game will be reminding of the Sims. The game project is a short one of 6 weeks, it's called 'The…
Hi guys, I was wondering, what is the best way to get a low poly model from an high poly objects that consists out of several meshes. I think an image is easier to explain what I mean. Credits to ORB As you can see here, ORB starts off with a model consisting out of multiple smaller objects that form a complete object. And…
going low from high will only bring you headaches because you are limiting yourself to that . Start a proper highpoly dont caring about polycount etc then build your lowpoly once you have it.
Hey, I recently decided to post this work of mine. Based on Sergey Lesiuk's concept. Everything except some stock parts are Subd. Technically it's still WIP but I tought that it looks good enough to post, my portfolio is lagging behind skill. Check me out on artsation: https://www.artstation.com/artwork/amaJ9 Original…
