Hi Polycount! I done some sculpts in zbrush with the help of youtube mainly. And now I want to excel and get better at sculpting. I wonder now how to do this without spending money on online courses etc(In a perfect world I would do that but...The reason is that I'm studying engineering and dont have too much spare money…
Hi, I am new to mudbox so this is a newbie question. Basically, no matter what brush i click on except grab, nothing happens to the mesh when i scuplt on it. Its base layer.
So do you guys take sculpting classes and create real clay characters in order to get good with digital sculpting or that is not necessary and you can just get books and techniques of the fundamentals of traditional sculpting and apply it in the learning curve of mastering "digital sculpting" only?
Thanks guys for interesting comments . it's of topic but last fall after years of polishing Designer fx maps and creating procedural approaches I suddenly found how actually better my work had been when it all was just manual, taste and intuition driven. Zbrush sculpts and coloring , hand painted textures I did in some…
Hi All, I am about to try to sculpt my first full character model (for game asset) in mudbox and my question is this; am I likely to get better results by importing and sculpting the whole mesh as 1 object, ot by breaking it up into separate parts? Hello, I almost never post in Polycount but I have decided to give it a shot! I'm a hardsurface artist who has been doing 3D for a little over 3 years now using Blender and Maya, but recently, I'm slowly shifting towards character art and have started with the fundamentals of sculpting a human skull for understanding the…

I've watched many tutorials, but none seem to help me improve the quality of my sculpts. I have loads…

Hello! I'm in the process of making my second character model. Taken a lot of mistakes and learning to get to this point. I've been stuck on something the past few days though, and I'm unsure whether I'm doing something wrong or if I misunderstand the process. I got a sculpt close enough, then moved to Blender for…
