traditional and digital sculpting fundamentals

So do you guys take sculpting classes and create real clay characters in order to get good with digital sculpting or that is not necessary and you can just get books and techniques of the fundamentals of traditional sculpting and apply it in the learning curve of mastering "digital sculpting" only?

I think it´s good to have knowledge about traditional sculpting, but you can do it without it too.It just helps you to understand it quicker(can´t say that for sure since i haven´t got into traditional sculpting that much)

In my opinion it´s got to know, but in no way necessary.If you want to learn traditional sculpting to, just do it, further experience except than digital sculpting can´t be a bad thing
