newbie mudbox question - nothing happens to the mesh when I sculpt

Hi,

I am new to mudbox so this is a newbie question. Basically, no matter what brush i click on except grab, nothing happens to the mesh when i scuplt on it. Its base layer.

update = not sculpting with a pen tablet but is sculpting with mouse (imac). help!!

have you checked the strength of the brush?

yes, strength, size, everything. Pressure is on on tablet.

Try scaling your mesh way down using the scale tool in Select/Move tools. Then press A to focus on the mesh and see if sculpting works then.

If you're on the base layer you're probably just not seeing any differences because there isn't enough resolution. Press Shift D to divide! I think.
