I'm testing out some ideas for workflow in UE5. Heres my first test so far. I'm using baked inverted cavity (curvature) and AO on the zbrush highpoly to drive materials in unreal engine with world aligned textures. No low poly and no uv maps which is fun! Very exciting to have UE5 to play with. This runs at about a almost…
Hey guys, I need your help! I’m animating my pistol model and I stuck on the hammer part. I messed up from the start because my pivot point was way off when I just imported it so I had to place it manually and when I animate it, the start and the end frames are fine but the middle part is off like if it was animated around…

Hi All! Working on yet another 3D stylized piece in UE5: Stylized Scifi Pumping Station Original Concept by TugoDoomER (Khazykov Vasily) on Deviantart Just finished modelling it (albiet some conscious changes). Here is the Blender render for now: Up Next: -- Bringing it into UE5 -- Painting it in Substance 3D Painter
I've setup just a head mesh with some solid color diffuse, normal and roughness. But I've getting some unwanted results while setting up my lighting. I'm trying to get rid of some sharp shadows, but by changing the source length by as little as 0.001 it gives me some ugly scattering. I seems like the skin scattering in UE5…
I've been using Sequencer for exactly this. With UE5 there are significant improvements with Sequencer and ControlRig. If you're limited to using UE4, you can still pull off results like this even without setting up raytracing project settings. Feel free to check out my portfolio link below. The most recent posts…
Hey everyone ! So I've began working on my next project. It's based on an environment I did for school years ago that I really liked and I wanted to make a version 2.0 with UE and my actual skills (at the time I did it in Maya using Vray) It's based on a couple of concept from the Deus Ex universe and I took 2-3 days to…
I'm thrilled to share my new environment project, "The Heart of the Forgotten Hall" — a post-apocalyptic scene where nature, especially animals, reclaims brutalist ruins. Inspired by Nier Replicant and Control, it explores the contrast between architecture and instinctive resurgence. Here are the tools I used Blender…
FIrst Post: https://polycount.com/discussion/234035/wip-advice-water-temple-ue5#latest Here is a progress update so far on my UE5 environment piece. As I mentioned in the last post, I've decided to focus on the interior rather then including a fleshed out exterior environment for this project. If anything is seen outside…
Hello! I'm working on this modular environment piece for class, I'm finishing up blocking out most of the shapes and props, and am starting to refine the meshes and materials. Most detailing will be done with a trim, and a couple props will be sculpted with unique textures (such as the cactus pot up front and the doorway…
