@Eric Chadwick That's not much more than an irreverent use of the Liquify Tool. I believe it started with a block-in of "wedge" shapes for the snow and rocks, then I used the liquify tool to drag out those interesting lines. I think what makes it work is varying thickness, and having the lines obscure and re-enter view. I want to experiment more with that approach.

Man, I love revisiting your sketchbook from time to time. So much imagination in your work. Also, really liked watching that dark city stream of yours. Very interesting use of masking to get the shapes you want. Makes me think about trying to approach some new scenes in a similar way. Great work
