I've updated my ArtStation with some ipad plein air paintings from this spring and early summer. I've tried to make a habit of stopping at this park in the mornings for painting studies.
I've been bogged down with some projects lately.. not a lot I can show, but I eeked out another plein air on the iPad. This heron has been hanging out at the lake lately. We're like buds now (though it's not facebook official).
Wow, just went through most of your book here. Such awesome work. Lots of energy!
I read a post from you a couple pages ago about when you first got your iPad for drawing and you were unsure if you would end up using it very seriously. Did you end up getting used to using it a lot? I see some paintings recently. Just wondering if you adapted it to use more often.
@ChrisFraser I use the iPad for digital plein air painting fairly regularly. I still am not too happy with Procreate's brushes, but have not taken the time to customize them to my liking (which I believe is possible). I'd really love to be using the iPad for all of the creative concepting, but I just haven't yet broken away from my normal workflow of pen or pencil > scan > photoshop. I'm still going to keep pushing at it until I am comfortable... but I like my trusty tools

Here's a welcome break from other work, sketching ships for a board game.
