Ok before I ask questions I must fanboy over this, these are incredible beyond my wording. I really really really (is it appropriate to swear) absolutely love these, no words. Wow, so much respect.
Now I got that out of my way, do you use lasso tools for certain parts, such as the clouds or the outline of sculpture studies you did? They look fantastic, no words to describe them
I don't know what dark magic you use but you clearly use hard brushes/lasso or whatever sharp painting tools available and yet, there is such a great softness in your art, i love it.
@Doodlok heh, thanks.. Yeah, I use the lasso tool quite a bit. Usually, that's where I start, laying out the major shapes and value structures. Sometimes I come back with lasso later in the process to sharpen or delineate an edge.
@Felixenfeu Thanks! Not sure if there really is any dark magic.. just a precarious juggling act? heh
Played with this one a bit more last night... I think I'd like to revisit it again
Great work and beautiful colors combination. I haven't used Procreate for a while, but the only problem I had transferring files to PS was with some of the layers blending modes.
@lotet Thanks! @screendot Thanks! I have taken a break a bit from Procreate.. I haven't quite gotten it up to speed with my photoshop workflow. Unfortunately, I've been too busy to get back to playing with it.
Some sketches in the vein of the ArtStation challenge. Debating whether or not I can commit time to this.
Man you are killing this project. I'm back to checking polycount every day just to follow your cent work. If you're not going to do a more detailed drawing/render of one of these I'd love to take one and just solve it out a bit.
@Greg Westphal Thanks! I'd love it if you took any of the Beyond Human concepts farther! My goal with the project was to make some compelling concepts that ambitious and talented 3d modelers would enjoy doing and hopefully push their skills. That said, I had hoped to detail them out more and lay out the mechanical parts, but I just don't have time. I'd love to see what you come up with!
Another iPad plein air at Moss Lake with the kiddo. Video got a bit messed up in Procreate, I guess it may have crashed when my kiddo was playing with it? Seems to have started from about 10 mins in. https://youtu.be/Rgd2C5dYtrk
