Great work on the thread as usual, and really love the Morrigan Hazardous
Here is a Buu I have been working on for the Dragon Ball Z fanart contest, any crits or suggestions please welome, most of the crits have been geared towards the pants
Nice work. I'd say it looks pretty solid in terms of the sculpt. One thing is that I'm guessing that the mouth has no depth it is just made to look like depth with polypaint. If that's the case I think adding some actual depth might make the face pop more. Other than that I'd mainly just say to work on some spec maps to have some highlights and break up the shine.
any chance you have more pictures and a breakdown for this guy? looks good!
i'll make a thread when it's done with zbrush turntables and the like. i'm getting some help from fellow polycounters to make some VFX to go with it ready for final presentation
A quickie. Haven't put much work into it thus far. Again, mainly to test out some new features offered in dDo, but I'm going to scrap most of the generated stuff and paint it myself I guess.
Smoothing error at the front because idk. It goes away in 3Ds Max when using 3Point Shader's quality normals though.
Quick update but the high poly is done Few tweaks here and there since the last image plus added the radiator at the back. Eventually going to add ammo, money and other bits and bobs but that'll all come right at the end.

*edit: I'm re-baking this, so I don't run into any errors with smoothing elsewhere *
I guess now is a good time point out that I did the high poly and low/bake! ^_^ On that note, here is the high poly.
duncan, I really like the texturing on there. Cool concept too.
ysalex, she looks fantastic! Gorgeous work.
My first attempt at anything resembling a realistic human. Still a WIP, needs plenty of work on the head and feet, and I think she's off proportionally...

Thx a lot! I put the shaded version back. ( )
I will probably take time to make a proper high poly/texture and correct some backing errors this week.
could i get some criticism for the model and/or texture?
Cheers

Still fighting with hair but it's time to move on:
Crosspost from my sketch thread. Finished up a brick wall texture I sculpted. Diffuse, normal, spec, and displacement on it.

HAHAHAHAHAHAAAAAA!!!! ..........I LOVE IT!........ poor guy.
The goal is to get it looking as real as possible. I need to find something to give this hall some more character... more than "just a hall"
I've thrown in a quick Vray test render (it will be real time when I'm done)
Oh man, this is probably one of the greatest things ever put on this site.
our Escape
Make sure to drop by our thread and check out some image and some breakdowns to come:

Let me know if it is too too too dark.
Thanks everyone
Now for something new...... unless I need to brighten up this thing first......... then that thing I said.
For me, here is where I'm at. Learning decent hair for maya vray, and more about the shaders:
Lyaksandr: Nice, good job!
d1ver: Well done all of you! Congrats on finishing it up! Wow!
Latest update from me. I gave him a beating to see how that would look. Cheers!
So todays plan is to practice facial expressions ( max spending 1-2 hours per face )
