As a final project at the old Uni O Ulster I am planning on building a head in 3dsmax and rendering it using several different render engines to see the comparisons.
To create the test bock (head) I've got access to a 4D scanner, designed by Digital Imaging.
If anyone has tips or tricks that may be useful, I'd appreciate it.
I'll be using the system on Wednesday the 6th March. So re post soon.
Hello! Graduate Visual Effects student at Savannah College of Art and Design, focusing on modeling, texturing and look dev. Hope to find some good information here to help me be a better artist :-)

Hello everyone, I'm pretty new at 3d modeling and I'm in search of more knowledge to improve, and this looked like the best place to find it, especially because I'm working on Dota 2 items.
Just saying hi to everyone at Polycount! Joined to help a friend participate in 'The Escape' challenge. I'm a concept artist working out of California. Thanks in advance. Cheers.
Hi Polycount readers! I'm a university student, working on a game project with a couple other people and I'm here looking for some help with it. Hope to find some here.
Peace.
Nice to meet you! I'm a student studying concept design and Environment Art. I've been following random polycount threads for a while, and I want to join in the escape challenge.
Hello Adam & the PolyCount members!
I am a beginner in animation and VFX and I am looking for small freelance jobs to start with! I hope I get what I want here at PolyCount
Greetings!
Just registered here because i want to dive more into artsy things.
I'm actually a programmer working for a small game studio. Art always fascinated me though but i'm not particular good at it. So i finally made it my goal to invest time in learning and practicing more.
I'm mostly interested in Lowpoly 3D art and hand painted textures. Being able to create models and textures myself would help me out a lot personally.
I'd say i'm good in creating non-organic models, but everything else is still too difficult for me
Looking forward to see other peoples work, reading upon tips and tricks and hopefully share some of my future work!
I'm a student in game art school at Paris and I'm looking to improve my work,to get better and get feedbacks. I am glad that I will be part of community and interact with 3D artists, to share knowledge and artworks.
