@JohnnySix: Thats pretty nice, I need to try out that game engine someday. Only crit so far is the sliding when you left go of a direction feels almost like im on ice. So I felt like I did not have much control.
Still cranking away at this, really hoping to finish it up in the next few day o I can focus on the darksiders 2 comp.
So I've been cranking away on my level the last two days and make some good progress; tomorrow I am hoping to get the floors and ceilings in the level and I would like to get moving on some textures. I have not really done any texture work yet except for the emissive stuff but here is where I'm at.
Warhammer online inspired environment piece I was working on in UDK time ago. Wanted to turn this into a deathmatch level but got busier so I thought I'd just drop it here Concept is (c) Mythic
pior you blow my mind.. ! as always
Mohammatron: that looks like a photo to me! gj!
wish I had something I could post! but im super busy with multiple things, I will be able to soon I hope! keep up the awesome work everyone! huge inspiration in here.
Cross-post of my concept so far for the Darksiders 2 Comp, the Axe of the Fallen. Still waiting to hear if I might be disqualified since I based the design on one of the enemies from the first game. Anyways, feedback welcome.
Zelenkov: It's almost a shame to see that cracking HP brought down to that low a poly. If you could warrant a few extra polys it would look amazing. If it's a vehicle you're sitting in, though, then it's probably not worth it. Looks good though
random sculpt , he looks a bit freakish somehow. my anatomy is far from great
loving that so far Rion411.
St4lis - unusual style but cool. you should finish it
Disting - so everything was done in zbrush even the base meshes? good so far -
is that a babies head coming out of her crotch lol
@Ruz: Yeah, everything was made in zbrush except for a _VERY_ rough blockout of the body. Basicly it was a stick figure. I didn't really know about dynamesh and zspheres when I made it. x
But the armor and sculpting of the body was made in zbrush.
SHROOMS! My friend said he wanted me to show him how to make some mushrooms. I knew not how to make mushrooms, so I made these as a test. Thinking I should stick to hard surface
Funky B : it's super simple really, it's just a way for me to get something done quick and dirty. Basically, just taking a very loose sketch, projecting it on a "lump" of clay in Mudbox, pushing and pulling forms accordingly to make a rough sculpt, then screengrab that, paint on top, and project again.
It's very quick, but good enough as a "3D sketch"... From there on I could retopo, make proper UVs, close the mesh, and so on but I don't want these technical steps to affect the first art passes
yeah not really got in to dynamesh yet Disting, seems like hard work
another wip that is not actually bruce willis
not sure about the knee pads, might give him gloves and a fascist hat too
no proper textures/specular yet, all multi sub body parts at the moment
little update on bruce too
I agree with andreas, give those shoulders some thickness to the edges at the very least.
I think you should try and push the color variation in your armor some more in the blue sections. The skulls on the shoulderpads could use some stronger lighting and I would love to see more of that sharp dry brush style you did on your orc on this guy's armor. Cant wait to see it finished!
Still with the learnings on construct 2, very much takes me back to the days of klick'n'play, and before the internet haha - I must've made hundreds of games, all now sitting in the landfill somewhere after my dad binned the old PC. :-/

That's a great write up and thanks for the link, looking over it now
I've yet to add any goals. Enemies/goodes will be collected by jumping from a great height.

Controls are WASD + Space , S makes you fall faster/sneak.

The highpoly is great but the bake isn't really doing it justice. What did your bake look like before you did the texture?
It's a real challenge, but I'm learning a TON!

And just started working on this one:
Reuv'd and baked normals (default one has terrible filter normals)
