I'm doing fan art of the Viera Elementalist class from Final Fantasy Tactics A2. Here is a look at the figure, keep in mind its a Viera and their proportions aren't the same as a regular human, but at the same time any crits and comments are welcome
Well, I've just 'recorded' a quick demonstration about 20 times using CamStudio and each time the video comes out looking like a tripping balls disco of RGB.
The only setting it seems to like is if I have my second screen plugged in and recording both at once - which makes everything very hard to see!

Cross posting an update from my digital sketchbook. Looking to call it done, want to hear what people think. Added some smoke particle effects and heat wave cards. Tweaked lighting/post processing some more and a few textures. Leave me some C&C in my sketchbook, link in my signature.
The art itself in that scifi scene looks pretty solid but right now its way to uniformly lit that it looks almost unlit. did a quick paintover for you with some suggestions on things you could tweak to get'er done and have a great portfolio piece. hope this helps.
Cross posting an update XD I saw that this one cosplayer decided to make the character more tribal so I'm going try and infuse some of that essence as well.
I'm new here and still learning modelling/other things - is it all right to post my source SDK stuff here? (Maps made using Valve's assets)
Sure! Don't see why not, as long as you don't make this thread your personal blog (e.g. posting every little update) !!
Here's my first for a lot of things and methods... feels great learning new things.
Still a problem here and there but it's good these errors have presented themselves to me so I can learn and avoid them in the future.
Any idea why UDK isn't building the shadow for the brick plane on the right side?

Thanks, and I won't. I do post on other forums it's just I don't know how it differs from there to Polycount, anyway:
I'm a little nervous about posting this here, but I started it a year ago (then forgot about it) and only picked it up recently, I'd patched it up released it, what you see is what you get, I don't mind constructive criticism (For future reference) and I am hoping to transfer to the UE3 at some point + I've started to learn how to model, but for now, here it is:
Damn papagersi that character just keeps getting better evey post!!
just a rough skribble from me for today, I really have other stuff that I should be working on.....anatomy study that started evolving....now I have ideas in my head about a whole alt Napoleonic world......I have some imagining to do
anyway, heres Napoleon's personal necromancer - Rudolph Vekt.

Ah I forgot to post this on Polycount haha
Finally finished her, I think I'll stick to game art lol. Rendering takes quite awhile, and there are too many options to tinker with. At least I've learnt some stuff from this project.
WIP high poly sculpt for a character model for Overdose.
There's no head because it'll have interchangeable ones. I've got most of the things done, just need to do the feet/a few more accessories. Slapped a polypaint on 'em.

Shaping up great but my only worry is the skirt around the waist. Where it is now I imagine it would constantly be slipping down. Maybe move it up further so its sits on his hips more OR maybe incorporate a belt like strap to the metal belt you already have.
love that seth
that awesome papagersi
Finally i've finished this one
My Gosh! I love itttttttttttttt!!!!!!!!! Well done zxcman
Quite a long time haven't post anything here :P this is my anatomy study of the body ^^ I call it finish but seem like something wrong. C&C are welcome
Sorry about my poor English :P
Neolight: Love it, very true to the concept, although I think all the houses should be slightly more deformed, like the top of the roofs caving in a bit just to enhance the stylised feeling.

Here is a study I did tonight/this morning. Didn't do the feet though.

Curse zbrush for not properly doing centerline symmetry, and curse me for not saving the this more incrementally. Now I have to fix it. . . .
Back to my prop modeling. . .
Anyway, great posts guys!
You should smirk, and THEN feel awkward.
Awesome track, btw. . I think I'm going to listen to it again.
Wow.. pretty freakin boss. Did you make it for a specific project or just felt like making a creepy/awesome song about a little toy shop?
I feel its best to give the right impression right off the bat... Don't want people thinking its a game about ponies and rainbows like COD
Not sure it's worth adding to the thread, but whatever. . .

I might try some other time.
Just get some screenshots.
I love me some hips. . .
a lot of stuff are missing tho.. just a little wip to get some critics and comment from you guys

Wow, the game seems to be really coming along.
Supposed to be a scrounge-tech coffee maker. Still not sure what to do about that pipe, the model looks goofy.

spent some more time with that head from the other day,
now with Authentic Battle Damage, and shades 'cause he's a cool guy yo.

Dramatic lighting for good measure.
...awesome work neolight!
